Thanks Johnny - I am currently residing in Nova Scotia but grew up in Etobicoke. As a kid I would take my bike and ride pretty much 90% of that exact path you did in the mid early 80's - 40 + years ago I was peddling those same trails...thanks for the memories my friend. It made me tear up to think of me peddling alone and feeling free and happy!

Hey Johnny, at the start instead of picking up your bike, go south on Weston Road for about 400 meters. there is a paved path on your right that's fairly steep that will take you down to continue south. You have to go slowly because it's easily missed. I prefer going up the path because it's a hard one.

Loved the video - lots of nostalgia for me growing up in the area, and honestly the bridge over the Humber by the CP tracks is always a pleasant site. I would love to see you do a video of the West Humber Trail from the Clairville Dam all the way to where you started the video, but that can wait. Cheers!

Absolutely great trail! Hope you get your brake-rubbing issues sorted w/out too much trouble. I wonder if ebikes are just prone to this problem?

while i could b wrong, i did not see one single ebike on what i saw. only pedestrians and bikes. there was an ebike passing Johnny but that seemed just before the trail started or ended. i believe following to be common knowledge. "You Can Not Ride E-Bikes On : Municipal roads, sidewalks, bike paths, bike trails or bike lanes where e-bikes are prohibited. They are also prohibited in recreational parks. If you are caught riding your e-bike through a recreational park, you are subject to a minimum $250 fine.Jul 5, 2021" Regards

I tried to post a link but my comment won't show (probably some kind of spam protection) but the City of Toronto page explicitly allows most types of ebikes on multi-use trails. Then head over to the cycling network you'll find the Humber River Trail has been designated as such. You got your panties in a bunch over nothing here. They're allowed.

multi-use trail means a facility designated for the use of pedestrians, bicycles, and/or other non-motorized users and associated bridges. Sorry not for motoized bikes. Sorry more i look more i find ,respectfuuly,Johnny, u should not b there.

you are motorized, you r not allowed on those trails, for pedestrians and bikes? u do not notice there are not one ebike but u passed hundreds of bikes. u get very upset when cars invade yr bike lane and then u turn around and do the same on pedesrian and bike lanes.
@jtsmith21752 жыл бұрын
There are plenty of ebike riders on this trail (I am one of them) and Johnny passed a few if you were paying close enough attention. The City of Toronto allows for this type of ebike to be ridden on designated multi-use trails (which the Humber River Trail qualifies as). Get off your high horse, no laws were broken and he was crawling along the trail at a snail's pace.
