Nah that's like textbook passive aggression. She's clearly mad and annoyed with him, yet doesn't flat-out say any (unwarranted) insults. instead she calmly deflects or slyly returns hostile remarks, does not pursue an argument and never raises her voice. Literal definition of passive aggressive behavior

She is being passive aggressive but she's not very discreet and discretion is the key to being passive aggressive as when you bait the person into aggression you can get away with it but she's being so obvious that everybody knows what she's doing. She's shit passive aggressive

I love how chaotic Larry got after he lost cheryl. She used to temper him until he’d inevitably come to a boiling point and blurt something out, but now he just riffs out the gate wherever he goes. Love it, it’s kept the show fresh

It feels like Cheryl-Larry and post-Cheryl Larry are 2 different characters. Each with their own unique features and quirks. Watching an early season and a late season is like watching 2 different shows in a way. I guess the secret is not having a secret and just doing what's funny.

It's the small details that make this show so great. I just love the look on Marty's face when he realizes he has to drink the water, as well as the fact that his glass in completely full, meaning he hasn't touched the stuff for the entire meal.

Quality of work in the USA is industry standard. Intentionally did not mention USA actors because from Europe there are more than a few good actors but standards in Europe are very low. "Acting without acting" is in Europe:)

The great Elizabeth Perkins, who doesn't always play bitches, but is awfully good at it. Her performance as Demi Moore's best friend, who undermined her friend's relationship at every turn, was probably the best thing about "About Last Night" more than 30 years ago.

A dinner party at a friends place is casual and the idea is to just break up couples to encourage conversation between everyone and to prevent the formation of small groups within the party. You will forever love yourself after watching CYE. I was watching it today while waiting for my car at the dealership and couldn't hold the laughter in. You can watch the episodes over and over and they remain just as hilarious and often get funnier because they are continuously relatable!

Yeah. Susie Essman is sweet. She really had to be egged on to find the character, the first time she had to curse out Jeff in season 1. I actually think Susie Greene cares about fictional-version Larry too, though. It's almost like a sibling relationship. A really foul-mouthed, loud one. Sometimes they have their nice moments between the squalls.

They are always breaking character. Throughout the series you can see they are trying really hard not to laugh. Just like Jerry in Seinfeld. It adds lots of charm. I like it.
