Nah that's like textbook passive aggression. She's clearly mad and annoyed with him, yet doesn't flat-out say any (unwarranted) insults. instead she calmly deflects or slyly returns hostile remarks, does not pursue an argument and never raises her voice. She is being passive aggressive but she's not very discreet and discretion is the key to being passive aggressive as when you bait the person into aggression you can get away with it but she's being so obvious that everybody knows what she's doing. It's the small details that make this show so great. I just love the look on Marty's face when he realizes he has to drink the water, as well as the fact that his glass in completely full, meaning he hasn't touched the stuff for the entire meal.

Yeah. Susie Essman is sweet. She really had to be egged on to find the character, the first time she had to curse out Jeff in season 1. I actually think Susie Greene cares about fictional-version Larry too, though. It's almost like a sibling relationship. A really foul-mouthed, loud one. Sometimes they have their nice moments between the squalls.

They are always breaking character. Throughout the series you can see they are trying really hard not to laugh. Just like Jerry in Seinfeld. It adds lots of charm. I like it.
