Haha John you have to stop saying on every platform that Aegon birthed children to have them fight in pits. He would hang out at the pits and fooled around with random people, hence the children. There was ZERO indication that his children were fighting or that he even knew they existed

Yeah I’m really confused as to why he keeps saying this. Every time he says this I just groan at the thought of the idea that a couple more people now believe that. Like you said, Aegon doesn’t even know he has bastards, and we certainly haven’t ever seen them fighting in pits.

Aegon knows damn well that those were his kids in the fighting pits. Even the guards knew when they were there

The literally never said that. There’s one in the corner and he says “one of many probably” that’s it. Not single mention of them fighting.

Loved this emotionally charged, dialogue-heavy episode; better paced than the premiere last week. Emma D’Arcy, Rhys Ifans, Tom Glynn-Carney, Matt Smith & Fabien Frankel were in the two best scenes so far this season.

Great content John! Love watching your videos. Just a quick clarification, Aegon wasn’t having bastards to fight. He was hanging out at the pits and hooking up there with women/whores. At the end of season 1 mysaria states that kings landing low born children (poor, bastards, etc) are forced to fight by the people who run the pits (not the crown.) I doubt Aegon even knows he has bastards. I thought the same thing until I did my rewatch
