Brought the Roothy pack 4 months back bolted a MW 2 door canopy alloy on perfect enough for me. Took it out Cairns to Cabald gorge loaded with gear sat on the road beautiful even dropping off for the roadtrains outside Georgetown. Just running the standard tyres for now not a bad bit of rubber for out of the box.
@JOHNROOTHROOTHYАй бұрын
Yep I had a good run with the standard rubber too, not bad tyres at all. These Maxis are really good tho -

@JOHNROOTHROOTHYАй бұрын
Ha! Full review coming up once we've finished testing her - already done some big remote miles and no worries at all. Loving it actually.

@ianweal30812 ай бұрын
100% agree, celery is a dampener whenever added, no point having glorious lamb to have flavour dominated by celery.

Mahindra. I love roothy but what a terrible terrible shame. Not just another one sells out to the Chinese, but our Roothy.
@JOHNROOTHROOTHY2 ай бұрын
Shannon you've missed the big point here mate - Mahindra is made in India, not China. Politically I'd side with the Indians all day long = we've always been on the same side and they play cricket too!!! And unless you're driving something like my old HJ Holden, chances are some or all of what you have is made in China or Thailand anyway. I wouldn't support China EVER!

I love you mate and have the utmost respect for your knowledge and experience. I hate that stinking Mahindra. Has it broken yet ? Is that the same one or have you traded up ? I recently drove a couple at a field day here in Victoria. Not impressed ! I’ll keep my old 1HZ 80 thanks .
@JOHNROOTHROOTHY2 ай бұрын
Haha! On ya Andy, thanks for that. I wish I'd kept my old 1HZ 80 Series, it was our family truck and bloody magnificent. I bought the Mahindra because I've never owned a new vehicle and being a tight arse really couldn't see the value in the mainstream stuff now that it's all the same anyway. I tested a couple - one for a year - gave them heaps and genuinely enjoyed them. This is the same one, just painted it green, and now has about 55,000k on - not a huge lot apart from a dodgy exhaust sensor (real easy fix once I knew where it was) and a cracked windscreen. We love it mate.
