In this video elite coach Jeremy Fischer looks at take-off drills, in the main, that will help you become a better long jumper. Many use low hurdles deigned to work on take-off position. He also suggests drills that will pattern the last steps into the take-off for the long jump. Toward the end of the video the ideas behind the long jump take-off drills are then transferred to the triple jump. There are also two small sections on sprint drills and improving hip range of movement.

If core instability and anterior rotation in the hips is an issue what are some good drills to fight that?

Nikes, Many thanks for your comment. Jeremy is a top coach and certainly knows his stuff!
