Im sure you figured it out by now Swifty. But the point of the Shadowbolt glyph which breaks it into three attacks is for a chance of increased damage. The logic behind it is you break up the spell, and now have 3x the chance for a crit, so instead of standard damage with 1 crit, you could get 3 crits and do more damage.

Couple of things you missed. Glyph of demon hunting essentially makes you a tank. Soulburn Soul Swap as an opener will instantly apply your dots to the target at the cost of a soul shard.

Nice video, 2 things, the glyph of underwater breathing seems useless if you can get one to ride over water. The healthstone gives back a % of your base health, that's the health you have without any gear. Thanks for the video, can't wait to get pandaria and pvp with my lock.

glyph of shadowbolt is a net DPS gain as each bolt has an independent chance of crit and the summoning of a Fel Imp, also a net gain in demonic fury over the single shadow bolt. OP for a minor glyph

Swifty just for the record, lock uses knock back with their Subbucus - love it in AB at LM. Thnx for a nice guide. Looking forward to play all classes.

I agree, my horde main is a warlock and I havn't been playing on it for ages because of how much crap I was getting in raids, now I'm rolling an ally lock just so I can show off my favorite class to the space goats too. And the removal of guild TP lets you finally feel useful with summoning as well, not to mention all the 85+ candy the class gets.

locks are amazing their incinerate ability with hellfire and brimstone make incinerate a 2.5 cast that hits for about 30k, and can hit all targets in front of you aoe dmg for a warlock in mists is basically 2 times as much as the entire groups

That+%50 runspeed is pretty wicked. Put it with a druid tossing hots and keeping up with travel form, you have a nifty flag carrier.

Swifty, The soul shard glyph will be useless in raids and dungeons because the raid set allows you to have basically unlimited soul shards on cool down

Its been awhile since Ive used my lock, but im pretty sure its if you land one, you land them all. In other words Ive yet to see an instance where one of them ever missed when the others landed. However this is back during Cata knowledge, I believe they changed it not too long ago so its completely cosmetic and the damage is the same. You can check patch notes of Mists to be sure I guess heh.

Indeed. There's a lot of fun to be had. I'm excited about DKs getting a 1 sec global CD with all presences, preventing UH pres from being the obvious DPS choice. And that's a very small change to the big picture. I'm more looking forward to post panda though. I like all the dark gloom and doom stuff. After all, I rolled a DK as my main...

Health stone recovers 20% health unglyphed, the tool tip probably factored in the glyph when you read it. An 80% heal would be extremely over powered even as a hot on a 2 min cd.

If you read up about Mop you would see that most of the talents in cata are passives in MoP with new talents. So tech you have all your old talents through passives plus new talents but only 5 you can choose from

as for the crazy shadow bolt thing, it splits it up into 3 separate bulbs. It falls under the same principle of why dots that tick faster cause of haste are better! The three bulbs are each a chance to crit. So presenting you the decision to make. Will I do more damage if I get the occasion crit with the single bulb volly? Or will I have enough crit, i can guarantee myself a crit from atleast 1 bulb if so, u might be able to pull a higher average over a long fight even without the bigger crits.

yeah swifty i understand that math, and you were right because. If you got for an example 100,000 Health 40% of that is 40,000 thats how much your healthstone should heal, and 100% of the 40% is the double, thats 2x40%=80% which is 80,000..so it was broken!

DR.... Swifty didn't mention it in this video, but HL only drains targets 15 yards around your main target. So people will just spread when they see this. Might work in random battlegrounds though. For pve I'd rather take HL

fear is on a DR so insta fearing won't work after so many times. And I can't remember if players just become immune to fear after so many casts. I think they do. Either way locks still look pretty sick.

John/Swifty - I've played WoW since 6 months after the original came out. It seems to me that Blizzard gives just about every class an epic time for a while. When I started, Rogues were unstoppable. Then warlocks had a time when we could even banish another player and chain fear people and mobs. Then frost mages were wicked damaging. On and on we go... Does it feel like Blizzard has re-written the talen trees so we all have to learn our characters again? Yes, I want the epic headset pls!

harvest is good in bg's, but for rated battlegrounds i would use dark regeneration. its just not good strategy to just stand around for such time consuming heal, more than likely they will be in your face and at some point get silenced.

Its a good thing, In a 1v1 locks can only be good fighting against spell or melee, they can't do both, its one or the other, its determined by the spec you go. with the new system you can have the healing returns plus the protection. Thats crazy spamable fear in arena just have your healer on you and fear the whole team, until they pop cds, then just deal with it then continue to fear... I think it will get nerfed.

The one which makes your shadowbolt split into 3 different ones? Yeah that's wonderful actually because if you try to reflect the spell you reflect only one of them not all of them so the warlock can keep pressure on you without having to worry much about committing suicide. Same thing apply's to bubbles it wont waste like a 10k shot on a 2k remaining shield it'll let 8k pass and 2k be absorbed. I like that o.o

We get a movement and casting speed debuff that after awhile becomes quite annoying. It's just for those short moments during a raid or an instance where there's some mobility and you can't stay in place.

The problem with the Healthstone, is that it didn't gives you the originaly 40% of hp, it gave u only the hot of the glyph with is bugged cause is gave you 50% anyway, 40% of hp + 40% as hot, u'r right but it's bugged ;)

He's never played a warlock, you can see that :P The AoE drain life will only heal for a percentage of your health, so the amount of targets won't have a huge difference. Also, warlocks have had that knockback since cataclysm (Succubus: Whiplash) And alot of these talents were implemented in cata :P
