Zach Johnson, the “Millennial Farmer” is a 5th-generation farmer who’s spent his life growing, working, and learning on his family’s farm. His wit and dry sense of humor appeal to children and adults alike. A product of the millennial generation, his appreciation of new technology blends with his old-fashioned work ethic, and he offers a unique ability to deliver his message in a way that resonates with lifelong farmers as well as those with no knowledge of agriculture.
With growing consumer awareness about where their food comes from, Zach has identified the need for an independent voice from the front lines of agriculture. Zach actively promotes agriculture by sharing his day-to-day experiences in the agriculture world while providing farmer-to-farmer education to help facilitate a collaborative conversation between farmers and the public.

I bet you both are telling the truth just by looking at your last name. However, I have a question for the both of you. Why is it that you are announcing along with what you have to say that you are also a mexican? Guess I am curious what that has to do with anything? Change we all are in need of not just the bullies but also the ones who focus on what should not matter...you are a farmer who bales hay n you are guy who is working hard gardening & cutting lawn's! Give it a try it won't hurt =)

This was really cool to listen to. My father grew up on a potato farm in michigan. I always wondered how it would be to grow up on a farm back in the 70s. I hear stories of how my great grandfather could back up a tractor with two wagons in tandem in a straight line with his Minneapolis Moline!

By 10 my dad had taught me to back 2 at a time into the barn with an International 706 with a narrow front while he kept the baler running by 14 the old Farmall M came out of semi-retirement to mow rake and haul hay to the barn instead of just running the buzz saw to cut firewood because the narrow front 706 was running the baler and the 766 the wide front 706 got traded for was working ground I missed powersteerig when I had to use the M I recently bought the M 706 and 766 with the Koyker K5 loaded on it from my dad since he retired (he said if I bought the tractor he'd give me the loader since it had been welded back together so many times and dug round bottom trenches) that old loader hauled heavy round bales (at speeds it shouldn't have) and cleared the was for building fence popping stumps it had no business messing with I had to keep the memories with the tractor or it would've became scrap iron if he sold it on his auction

I sure miss the fresh smell of truned earth You talk about how farming has changed and I see that in all the farm KZbin videos with all the fancy monitors in them tractors and combines all I had was a dickey John monitor on my four row 7000 John Deere planter and nothing in the jd3300 combine not even a Radio and my big tractor was a jd4230 with sound guard cab and a quad range transmission and now I have a jd 4200 compact utility a 1999 model I sure like your videos along with The Browns videos from Chillicothe Ohio the Welker Farms in Montana and Chet and his father that I believe are north of you and I surely despise that wet nose kid from Iowa that thinks he knows everything

@@JacksonGuitarsPlayer03 Most of the time red means IHC, not MH/F...or JIC(which was green and red then another red then a kind of orangeish then a tan then white and black before realizing if they wanted to keep all what IHC brought them, they needed IHC red) ... Around here they(MF) were known for blowing their "Tough 2000s Powershift" and burning up, and dealers always waiting on parts from Canada and basically being a POS. neighbor has one out of spite...it burnt up and it rigged to run pto things only. The Perkins wasn't really that bad...just very thirsty. My local deere dealer isn't too impressive...last we went there they wanted $80 a disk for our drill(needed about 100)...So we bought a Concord and a Versatile and never looked back, aside from having to mow around the old JD drills every couple weeks.

We have lost most of the corn market here in michigan. Too many farms grew mostly corn the last 2 years due to the unstable soybean prices and markets. My family plans on planting 3200 acres of soybeans. 800 acres will be double crop soybeans after we harvest winter wheat in late June. We are sitting on 60 thousand bushels of corn from last year. We can always sell the soybeans. We sell some to a large hog farm for feed . Nice video stay safe and farm on my friends !
