When he said it took 2 hours to find a lucky egg I thought there was no way, so I went and tried it myself. After 3 hours I now have 20 oval stones and 0 eggs. 5% encounter rate, 5% chance it's holding a lucky egg. I now feel like I somewhat understand how much work went into this video and appreciate it a little bit more than I did before.

@@False_Refracted From personal experience i don't even think Deino is the worst. I had more problems with leveling the egg you get from route 18 (larvesta) and way earlier i also didn't like the Vanillite line. Both of those have a pretty bad movepool combined with pretty below average stats while being pretty high level evolutions. Klink line is also a good shoutout for that fact actually.

I know Gen 3 is tedious as fuck because you need all 5 of the games since they reworked the stat system and don’t connect to Gen 1 or 2, but at least Hooh and Lugia are treated as mythicals because you could only get them from events or from the side games Collisseum and XD. Gen 4 is better but you have to have Ruby, Sapphire or Emerald for the Regi Trio and by extension Regigigas and are the only ones that require a transfer from Gen 3

To be honest,I was more afraid of the Black/Withe Professor Oak's change since the beginning, because the special Exp method in that games makes you gain LESS experience, so you'll spend an eternity in the first gym Pokemon, specially without Audinos

I'm doing the POC in BW and even with the audinos is still hard, to many of Unova pokemon have high level evolutions, i even think they have the highest level evolution in the entire franchise, fortunately mons like Braviary and Mienshao can be caught in dark grass or in shaking grass so i don't need to level up their pre evos.

@@DingoDIDeatmybaby the exp earned is scaled to the difference of what you are battling. the more levels over what you are fighting the less is earned, but the lower you are to what is being fought, the higher exp gained. so if u take it to the extreme, u get my above example,... with a few extra set up stages to boost exp.

I just realized how easy it is in theory to complete the National Dex in D/P With a SINGLE copy of pearl, he caught 357 / 493 Pokemon in Gen 4, That's already nearly 3/4 of the way there, All he needs are the Diamond exclusives (20) and using a mix of Gen 3 and the Gen 1 remakes, You could (IN THEORY) complete the National Dex by yourself, All you need is **NOTE: PRICES ARE ROUGH ESTIMATES FROM eBay** 1 Nintendo 2DS with Pokemon Bank ($60) 1 Nintendo Gamecube ($55) 1 Nintendo Gamecube Gameboy Player ($50) 1 Nintendo GameCube-Gameboy Link Cable ($10) 1 Copy of Pokemon Diamond ($20) 1 Copy of Pokemon Pearl ($20) 1 Copy of Pokemon Ruby ($15) 1 Copy of Pokemon Sapphire ($15) 1 Copy of Pokemon Leaf Green ($25) 1 Copy of Pokemon Colosseum ($30) 1 Copy of Pokemon XD: Gale of Darkness ($40) AND 1 Copy of the Pokemon Colosseum bonus disk ($40) For a grand total of: $380 US (plus shipping+handling, taxes, etc.), you too could own every pokemon from up until Generation 4.

Two problems, 2DS doesn't have a GBA slot for PalPark or the other features requiring Dual Slot functionality. You also listed the GameBoy Player for the Gamecube, which isn't necessary and you instead need a GBA or possibly a DS (depending on the kind of Link Cable you find) to be able to transfer the GC exclusive Pokemon to the core games.

You're lucky you weren't playing platinum, you can get a gible as early as after beating gardenia because the strength boulder isn't in the way. But you can also get the tm for earthquake in the same area at the same time so at least you have that going for you.

Having done Black/White Oaks challanges can confirm that pretty much only the first gym is a pain because there is no access to audinos. After that even stuff like Deino later on isn't too bad. Huge respect for DP completion though. These games have so many time locked things that require insane amounts of patiense. Kudos to you my man!
