My stock suburban was getting to and over 200° I did rebuild the trans but that shouldn't make any more heat and I did get a like restalled stock converter that was like 2000 stall vs the stock that is like 1400-1600 or something

What trans cooler are you running here soon I’m going to be turning my 2013 5.3

Just throwing out my opinion, A high lift cam necessarily isn't harder on the valvetrain, poor cam lobe designs and improper valvesprings is what is hard on the valvetrain. I'd recommend you look at some of btr's new cams they made the truck Norris or the hot rod cam if you want more power it makes more power than a sloppy stage 2 (rough ballpark of 460HP from a 5.3 is outrageous power) while being only a 217 cam it's super impressive, much better designed cams and make tons more power than the 220 cam which is quite honestly a very outdated cam design compared too modern stuff, and I extremely still recommend that you upgrade too 4.10s if you can especially since you have big tires you'll kick yourself in the shins for not thinking about doing it earlier.

Yeah I definitely got a lot more research to do regarding the subject. And I’ve always wanted to do 4.10s and I should be able afford that swap soon. I’m interest on how the truck will act after that.

You still have the 4l60 stage transmission

The truck has a stock 6l80e it’s just tuned with the high stall converter

I would love to add a stall but i tow a roughly 8-8500lbs toy hauler, is that too much for a stall? I have the stage 3 tsp and everything eles u do plus cat delete and mild head work. Got 375hp at the wheels

I mean it would be best to call the torque converter manufacturer and they will steer you in the right direction. I know light towing isn’t an issue but I can see how heavy towing can lead to problems.

I wouldn't recommend more than a 2600 stall lockup torque converter if your going too tow and I highly recommend you swap too a 4.10 gear at the minimum. high stall converters really like short gears

Well you have a stall now so I don't think it would be a big deal maybe add a good cooler

How much did you MPG change?

I get 11mpg in the city now
