This was an era when we would set aside time each week for our favorite variety shows. Those programs would lift our spirits and the lightened mood would linger for days. We were so much happier then, in part because of entertainers like Dean and his wonderful guests. It was as if vaudeville had moved to the TV screen.

This is my parents song. Every year since year 1, they have danced to this song on their anniversary. One of the best memories I have is of my parents dancing to this song on Christmas Eve. My sisters & I had already gone to bed but I couldn't sleep. All of a sudden I heard music so I took a sneak peak down the stairs & lo & behold, my parents where downstairs dancing by the Christmas tree. As they danced they kissed each other. They embraced & my mother put her head on my fathers chest as they just kept dancing....Its a beautiful memory & it wouldn't be possible without Dino. Thank you Dean Martin, we love you & we will never forget you.

jasminne mcdonald I'm from the UK, and I'm hoping that one of our TV stations will do a special commemorative series next year (2017) to celebrate his 100th birthday, like they did in 2015 for Frank Sinatra.

jasminne mcdonald I'm not sure which channel it was on but I think it may have been on BBC. There was a documentary about his life story and I think they also showed one of his old concerts around the same week. As I said, it would be great if they did the same thing for Dean next June for HIS 100th birthday. Also I wish they would show some of his films, they never seem to get screened over here. God knows we have enough channels these days which show reality shows and 'talentless' contest and other rubbish, it's about time we saw some quality variety programmes like the old days. After all, we pay enough for the license fee... (sorry, rant over, I'm going to sit quietly now and have a nice cup of tea and a chocolate digestive and I'll be better soon ☕️🍪 )

♥♥ ELVIS! AND THEN SOON DEAN MARTIN! ♥♥ No wonder, that they liked each other! For me Elvis and Dean are forever the mainmarks of Entertainment! Look at Dino here (and so many times also in his shows and live acts!) so natural - so cool - so good - so selfhumorious!!!! Such an in-richment for us humans! Like Elvis ... I can watch Dean Martin in all things he is doing ... saying ... singing!

for real! I used to crack up watching things like solid gold (old Show) when artists would lip synch there own songs. then it just got more and more stupid. like who really wants to pay a lot of money to see a show of a performer lip synching all their music...LIVE? Then there is "Autotune"!! No One can sing anymore? I Find it appalling when a metal act will do these same things. cant remember thre band but during live performance the music began skipping. how frickin embarrassing!

This clip looks like it was from Dean's NBC series circa 1966 or 67. He was at the peak of his success, with a top rated series, successful movies, i.e. The Silencers and the other Matt Helm films, hit records and sold out concert appearances in Las Vegas.

Joey Bishop was so right when he said about Dean..."You couldn't tell if he was a singer that was also a comedian, or if he was a comdedian that could sing to because he was so good at both of them". That's my Dean....absoutely wonderful.

Somewhere There's a Someone is a 1966 studio album by Dean Martin, produced by Jimmy Bowen. This was the first of five albums that Martin released in 1966, that year he also starred in three films, and appeared in his own television show. Somewhere There's a Someone peaked at 50 on the Billboard 200. The title track, "Somewhere There's a Someone" was a Top 40 pop hit and appeared in the Top Five of the easy listening chart in the late winter of 1966. The song was in a familiar arrangement to his comeback hit, "Everybody Loves Somebody" from 1964.

Bo Hofman And that was just one year in a top-flight 40+ year career that also covered many critically acclaimed films, concert tours and performing in night clubs, most noticeably with the Rat Pack in Las Vegas. But unbelievably some people STILL believe that he was just a lackadaisical old drunk. 😐🙄

Dino is a huge inspiration for me and I find that the more I watch this guy the more I find myself! I would love to bring this style back to the world, I've got the voice, the looks and I've written some mind blowing poetry so I know I can write songs like this! Gotta find myself though, nobody holds a candle to Dino but I'd really like to keep the fire burning!!

Dean Martin and I both lost a son and also his moth so this song is indicative to me and also o to Dean of how both of us lost our sons and know, somewhere, there is someone for everyone and furthermore that someone will find me here in Britain even though I am age 87 and expected to live over 100 years.
