Much love from America I used to listen to this because it was upbeat now I just actually looked at the lyrics and I’m completely flabbergasted. This song is a beautiful masterpiece with an even more beautiful meaning. All around the world we are destroying sacred land and the environment over what we call “progress” it’s a damn shame.

John's an absolute national treasure. Not many people could write and express things as well as he could, and he does it in such a sincere and dust-on-your-boots sort of fashion. You might not agree with him, but he can't be written off as a naive city-slicker. I first heard this song as a little kid, in kindergarten, almost 30 years ago now. Definitely had an effect on the way I viewed the world.

How are those wildfires coming along,Aussie? We shut our forests down, let the dead wood pile up for years, and have the same result here , (every year )in the Western United States. It makes you preservationists feel better to import wood from Countries with lax, or no ecological laws, I suppose. That way you can cry about climate change, and how the fires are getting worse each year, as the individuals and economies of your country suffer. To what end? Might I ask?
@andrewbyrne2814 жыл бұрын
In a land of fire and flood we can only do so much when it's made worse by climate change. We stand tall but that can only last so long.

@tooklongenough we’ve got plenty of time before that inevitibility happens..... so let’s terraform this planet like it was our personal spaceship! ( because it is) We could do soooooo much better if we would just stop staring off into the distance, and get to work. A man is stonger when he stands on his feet, rather than his head.......

@leidersammlung69553 жыл бұрын
@@lizdexamphetamine Both of our Countries suffer from bad environmental laws, and burn as a result. There is an international cabal that wants to profit, by causing everyone to believe that the planet is overcrowded by people. They support policies that cause large portions of our Countries to burn, and much land to go to waste. They’re hoping to squeeze a tax out of every person on the planet, simply for existing.
