I decided to take a break from sewing and rest some. The kids are all coming over for Easter dinner. We always have a lot of fun with the great grandkids. I recently joined a group for mothers of veterans suicide. The woman who started the group has a retreat for moms across the states here in Georgia. I love doing crafts and felt a junk journal would maybe help mom's with their grief. In Googling for ideas I came across your site. I love your ideas. In fact I will continue to play with journals for my self. I think they make great gifts. Having so much fun with this I made the envelopes out of shiny paged brochure for Riverboat travel that comes in the mail. I was going to make it for my Joie journal but I'm making a journal for my daughter for Christmas and this is just what I needed for the second signature for something special. I will also make one for the other Journal eventually. Right now it is taking a backseat to my Christmas journals. This was such an original idea! A bit of a Rubik's cube at first but the end result was a wonderful way to extend content in a little book I'm working on. I think it will be huge fun for the reader to unfold all the little overlapping envelope pockets, like finding secrets!

@@MeredithHenning I'm so sorry for your loss, my mom loved with me and my husband for two years and after her last surgery she could not take care of her self. And with my back problems, there was no way I could handle it. We found her a great nursing center. They were great. Mom love them like family. Two years later she was just too tired to go on.
