This was a great tutorial! I know it was more for demonstration purposes, but those two colors actually look really nice together. It's not a pairing you'd normally use for a project like this, but it could look nice if you wanted like a crazy-quilt-style throw or a baby blanket or something like that.

How do u make a basket weave baby blanket I love your video’s u make it a lot better thanks
@WambuiMadeIt3 жыл бұрын
Hi Kim! I do not have a tutorial of a basket weave baby blanket on the channel. However, I do have a tutorial of a basket weave scarf. A suggestion might be to make several panels of the scarf and then join them together to get the basket weave baby blanket -- or, cast on at least five times the pegs that I cast on in order to make a blanket wide enough for a baby. The link to the basket weave scarf is below. I don’t know if this helps but it’s just a suggestion for now. I hope you have a joyful day!🌻🧶🎶 🧶 How to Loom Knit A BasketWeave Scarf - Loom Knitting Project 🧶 kzbin.info/www/bejne/iZ2wY4xrrd-joq8

Do u have video how to finish after putting it together do I just cut it yarn that's left
@WambuiMadeIt3 жыл бұрын
When you are finished, just hide the yarns like you normally would when you finish a loom knitted project. Use a darning needle to weave the yarns in through the seams and under and over stitches to hide the long ends of yarn left over.

So my panels are not same length would it be better to match up the vorners and stretch it or line em up in the middle and hide the ends with fringe
@WambuiMadeIt2 жыл бұрын
Hi Lora! Thank you so very much for watching. What you have just described sounds like a great solution -sounds like something I would do (or have done). Your idea should work as long as the panels are still pretty close. I think it should work out. It took me a little while to see the importance of owning ad using a ‘row counter’.🤗 I have several now. If I’m making panels to connect on the sides, should I slip the edge stitches or no? 😅
@WambuiMadeIt2 жыл бұрын
Hi Danielle! Thank you so very much for watching. I have never loom knitted a project using slip stitches. I can see where they might be very helpful when joining pieces together to help things be joined in a more ‘precise’ way. I say, if you have no problem doing slip stitches, they can only help make for an even smoother join. Thank you for this very interesting question. I hoped this helped a bit. All the best to you!🧶🧶🌻

What if my pieces are different length. Can I make another section and just keep getting longer ?
@WambuiMadeIt2 жыл бұрын
Hi Kathy! I know that frustration of ending up with two pieces that are not exactly even. It took me a while to realize how important row counters can be. Sometimes , I still miss a row or two, but the row counter helps to keep me in the same general amount of rows. I am going to suggest this video if you are using the long loom: How To Remove Rows From the Loom Knitting Long Loom - Loom Knitting Crafts kzbin.info/www/bejne/hJC5o4ZriZiNeKM This video may not help in every case, but knowing how to undo rows could be helpful for a future project. @WambuiMadeIt3 жыл бұрын
Greetings! As you are running out of yarn, finish as much as you can with that yarn. Then, you would get a new piece of yarn and start as if you were starting brand new. Start where you left off. So, when you run out of yarn, don’t try to tie the ends together. Finish with one piece of yarn and then get a new piece of yarn and pick up where you left off. 🌻🧶🧶🌻
