I think either would work too but I think I would start the border in beige and you maybe two rows of it and then have a few rows of maize.

I would use the darker of the two. I would also not worry about it when people say not to take all the yarn. TAKE IT! I have always regretted not taking what I needed. ❤️

I love these shopping videos. I’m in love with the Red Heart Forest colorway. Gorgeous. I like the yellow color for a border but maybe once the blanket is worked up you can see which one works better ❤❤

For the speckle yarn you got for the blanket, I'd use the lighter of the two. Tan instead of the yellow! I'm sure whatever you make and however you trim it, it's gonna look amazing! Always does!

It's funny that all the new RH stripes are just the red heart O'Go's lol still beautiful! I love the new big twist yarns they have. The pound plus is WAY better than one pound or pound of love in my opinion. Your Joanns has way more than mine!!! And clearance! Also for the simply soft color choice I would do the more tan one

Thank you for sharing! ☺🌺 I also think it's ok to take as much as you need for crocheting a blanket. They probably have more in back storage and I usually ask a store associate if I need more of a certain yarn. 😆💃

I love when you take us shopping, I am not able to get out much these days so I’m living vicariously through you. My closest Joann’s is an hour from me also. I just can’t ride very long any more, I have degenerative arthritis and degenerative disc disease in my back so you can imagine. And a few other problems as well. Most of my shopping is online these days, so thank you very much for these trips.
