I always wish when I open them that I had more information about them to share. But just looking at them is also a level of joy. I felt very lucky! I cannot think how they are able to engrave so much details on the coins/medallions. The colours in the Singapore items are so rich and lovely! Take care! 🙂

Congratulations, Charnie! What wonderful prizes! Well done! The Berlin stamps were issued for use in West Berlin until the unification of Germany after the Berlin Wall came down. Many of the stamps issued were the same design as those for West Germany, but with the addition of 'BERLIN' in the typography, so for example, the animal and bird stamps have West German equivalents without BERLIN, so that will give you something to look for. The same applies for the set one of which you said looked like a king and queen riding on a horse. This set is actually from a series on fairy tales. All of these were issued to raise funds for youth charities. In addition to these 'twin' stamps, many stamps were issued only for use in West Berlin and had no West German counterparts. Examples of that are the 5 stamps with views of Berlin and the three stamps with statues. Hope that helps.
