What's really starting to bother me is that buying sustainable fashion firsthand doesn't even come cruelty free. It may not come from people doing the sewing, but the linen or cotton still has to be harvested. That cotton dress I got from a seamstress on Etsy sewing as a side hustle in South Carolina while she finishes her degree in Fashion still probably came from a place like this at the picking level of the process. And that's just really depressing.

The only reason they didn't steal it is because the factory shut down to search for it. Those workers need the factory to keep running so they can meet their quota and get enough money to survive, also the consequences of stealing from someone on a foreign reality show are way worse than stealing from a regular tourist. @@britishempireno1fan851 I know that not all brits are like that. And hateful is not a proper word. Every human being would feel anger seeing injustice and arrogance. And you keep your truth to yourself if you feel like to, I wont. I wont keep it to myself but tnx for advice. And again, you may be a decent human being, its not against you. There is a very bad voice about my country and my people but what one should or could do 🤷🏻♀️ and wearing that bracelet there is shameful. And yes, we all know where the wealth is coming from for some of the countries, and you too enjoy benefits of that wealth living there, so.. it is just truth.

About 30 years ago, I worked for a company in the UK that still had a tiny amount of production in the UK, but most was from India, often using UK agents or direct factory fulfilment relationships to make to UK design. I was suprised to find, during covid, that Leicester is full of sweatshop factories supplying companies like boohoo, with people being in condemned buildings, paid at £4.00 an hour, no secure contracts and their wage slips understating their hours so it doesnt show them working for less than the legal min wage. Apparantly, these sweatshops have been reported and complained about locally, but no one wanted to prosecute them because of community race relations. The newly elected Leicester Tory MP is trying to push for the issue to be dealt with. It's been a Labour council for years and years, turning a blind eye to people being exploited in the most dreadful way. www.google.com/amp/s/amp.theguardian.com/business/2020/aug/28/boohoo-leicester-factories-went-to-war www.google.com/amp/s/www.euronews.com/living/amp/2020/07/09/inside-the-leicester-sweatshops-accused-of-modern-slavery

There is a distinction between a man who enjoys being pampered and one who expects it. I think this mommas boy is ok. As long as both mom and son are happy and there is no taking advantage of then it is ok. I hope my boys would be as sweet and compassionate

Organizations like "Save The Children" "Red Cross" "Operation Christmas Shoebox" along with many others, are trying to help those in India who live in extreme poverty, just like they do in other countries. But, unfortunately it is also on the Goverments shoulders to step in and help his or her people, which sadly they don't always do! 😔
