I think that the key to these kind of videos is to keep them lively and engaging. Mixing in some small fixes or projects helps and will get viewers coming back. Since they know it's not just you talking to the camera for 10 minutes, they'll be more likely to watch the next one.

John Heisz Right, these were also my thoughts about it. I personally don't like watching someone just talking, if I don't know the topic or am not very interested in a topic. But what I want to then is about the same as you do with your second channel, so I hope your not mad, because I'm copying.

Yes, more like this please. The odds and ends are just as interesting as the bigger projects, everything you do in your shop is interesting.

Hi Marius hope you enjoyed your holiday (vacation). I like these new update vlogs you do showing what's going to happen and things in the making etc, also like the small/medium size projects you do as well. Your subscribers like me have joined because of what you make and the vlog is an added extra which we all like, so my choice is more of the same plus the added vlog. Thanks, Barry from England.

I've been making a weekly video since December 2012 and still have to shoot narration scenes over and over. I think the jointer fence segment could have been a video by itself. Progress/productivity = video. Look at Matthias for example. He does a lot of short videos but he's always getting something done. I really enjoy your videos regardless though.

Marius. I just found your channel today, and I'm glad I did. I really like the way you talk about what you are doing. You explain the purpose behind each step and how you arrived at the solution. And your explanations are very clear, which is very good and is rare. Don't worry about your English. You speak very well and the few mistakes you do make are not significant, don't seem to change the meaning, and actually add to the story you are telling in some ways. I wouldn't change it. I love seeing the projects that other people are planning. It makes me think about the way that I would approach them. So I would like to see more of them as you come up with new projects. Keep up the good work.

I say yes. I enjoyed your Vlog, you had a bit of everything in it. I enjoy video's that have behind the scenes content. I also like to see the small jobs that are done to improve and make your shop easier to use especially things geared towards organization. I especially liked your Small Parts Storage Boxes video. I don't know what others like, however I enjoy seeing the small details. Yours is one of the few channels I actually make a point of visiting regularly, I look forward to seeing what you do next. And as for another video on bowl blanks, I'm game. :) Thanks for sharing with us.

I enjoyed your video of updates and shop maintenance etc. It's a nice change of pace from a project video script. It let's me know more about what you are thinking and how you go about tackling your challenges. That's the best part of shop time !! Thanks for posting.

If you have any concerns about the strength of the threads in the wood try dripping some thin CA, (some people call it crazy glue) on the threads then retap them. The thin CA soaks into the wood and cures to a plastic like material that is much stronger then just the wood. Enjoy you videos and find them interesting and informative. Thanks.

I like this format Marius. Part of what makes your videos so appealing is your sense of humor. We also enjoy watching you as you think in German and then translate your thoughts as you speak in English. We have a friend that does this only his first language is Spanish. It is difficult and we appreciate that. Keep up the good work!

Enjoyed your vlog. You do what is necessary for you. So whether you are doing a 10+ minute, multi-part video of a large project, or you are doing 15 second video recap video of something you've already done (or will be doing)...I enjoy them all. I don't know why, but I really enjoy watching your new sliding table saw in action...that is so NEAT!

I find your videos very enjoyable. You do an excellent job explaining what you are doing and why. I also appreciate the time you spend editing, as the quality definitely shows. Something that comes to mind that you may be able to help with is about bandsaw blades, like the tpi, the rake, etc for materials like MDF glue-up 2 to 2-1/2 inches thick. Thanks!

Love all your videos (and your style) and appreciate the effort that goes into them. Please don't become a slave to us KZbinrs though - if you start to worry about not producing enough video then the fun goes out of it - for you - and instead of recording projects YOU want to do you'll start undertaking projects for others benefit. So, carry on as before but feel free to take time off without producing anything.

Thanks for making an effort to put out a video although you're on vacation. As long as there is interesting content a video is always appreciated. Don't force it though. If you don't have anything to show then there is no point in my opinion. (This video was interesting). I like the style that Steve Ramsey and Jay Bates makes their update videos. On a separate channel and in between project videos. One way of making them would be to collect small updates throughout the week and then roughedit them togheter and post on sundays. Sort of a weekly recap.

The pin-point accuracy on the new saw looks incredible! Hope its working out for you. I have the same planer/thicknesser, but don't have time at the moment to do the upgrade, so I have ordered the fence on the Clas Olsen version - which looks completely flat, but is made out of aluminium. I am starting to wonder if I should have just done this upgrade though - looks very stable.

I am a big fan of your work and since you are asking for feedback ( if this is not the case I apologize for this post) you could use some knowledge about making videos, I am not a professional so I wont be making any comments on how to do it, how to make them even better. One could benefit from having a bigger perspective and that is usually gained when studying from professionals, so you should consider studying video/ photography... in a suitable environment ( specialty books, classes ...). I am not saying to make Hollywood films, successful you tube channels generally have a realistic component, but knowing the artistic way will give you a definitive advantage on you tube. What I am trying to say is that one could make good videos with the same approach as making a nice piece of furniture, in a pragmatical manner, but it is even more appealing when there is an artistic component. I love your videos and I wish you all the best!

Hey, also so ne Videos sind immer willkommen.
