I love how when Italy complained about migrants coming in because they were destroying their cities, taking their goods and affecting lives France, Germany and many other countries said that italians where terrible people for judging this people and refusing to take migrants. Now that it is happening to them it has become an issue. Welcome to the club.
@miraj5569 Жыл бұрын
Let's be very real here, though: the people aren't the politicians. I'm German myself and for years, me and my friends have been talking about how Italy is basically left to fend for itself. I lived in Italy from 2016 to late 2017 and then again in 2021 and the change was already massive. Germany has more migrants than we can manage as well, and that's been the case since 2015, but Italy's situation as the point of entry is a whole different ball game. We need a pan-European agreement for extensive border control, especially on the Mediterranean Sea, that all countries pay for. I am not against immigrants per se, but when they arrive in numbers that far exceed the natural growth of a population and are unable (or, in some cases, unwilling) to support themselves, it will destroy entire countries. The affects can already be felt, especially in bigger cities. I feel very strongly European, even more so than German in some ways, and I want this continent to come together to protect itself.

Canadian here, Just wanted to point out that this very same NYC Mayor took a page from the DeSantis playbook; put thousands of migrants on buses and shuttled them to an illegal boarder crossing into Canada (Roxham Rd) making them our problem. After that had been going on for a year already, illegals figured out that if they just came to Canada via airplane, they could use Roxham Rd crossing to enter New York. This obviously angered Mr. Mayor to the point that he was bashing Canada and demanding the illegal boarder crossing be dealt with. Said they were putting American boarder patrol on their side to ensure no more people from Canada could freely walk into America. The hypocrisy is disgusting and pathetic. Its obvious they never wanted migrants in New York, or maybe he never thought this was going to be a problem that would ever land on his doorstep.. as if his rhetoric has no consequences. You might want to check, which country in the EU is issuing the most work visas, to the point of calling it open borders to the rest of the world...
@miraj5569 Жыл бұрын
People who come to other countries on work visas aren't the problem. They are educated, plan to make themselves useful and come alone or with their immediate family. What is the problem is the constant stream of refugees, mostly unaccompanied men, most of which are either too traumatised, too uneducated or too lazy to make themselves useful in the receiving countries and who, for some reason, try to change the country they immigrated to into the one they emigrated from. Poland and Hungary did better on that front than the entirety of Western Europe. I live in Hamburg (still one of the best German cities to be in) and went to Krakow recently: the difference is staggering and you know there's something wrong when I, a German person, feel more at home and among my own in a Polish city than I do in my own country...@@looseycanon

This is exactly the problem. If you come here e.g. to get a college degree you get 1 shot at the visa lottery (~33%) for a non-STEM field and 2 shots at 33% for a STEM field. It's insane that illiterate people get put in the front of the line instead of these folks if they sneak in and make a nebulous asylum claim. They're also being coached. There's actually an interesting article in the New Yorker of all places from 2013 I believe where they dive into this and the immigration judges basically say that most of the claims are carbon copies of each other. They're rehearsed. One of the "asylum applicants" anonymously basically confirms this. The people that coach them on this need to be in jail. This is insane. Immigration needs to be symbiotic. We help you and you help us. It's just gone nuts.

That poor girl, she's just trying to be a good lesbian to inspire more girls to suddenly decide they want to follow the trend to be bi like all their other friends on social media, and someone trolled her with a serious question that required her to think about actual issues that go beyond the scope of her precious first-world problems. And then we just get more confirmation that she is just another virtue signaler with thoughts and prayers and one love jargon. I hope all this migration causes people to wake up and actually think about who they are voting for and get these wacko libs out of office.

I'm angry that all these illegal immigrants are getting $2000 *---a month from Social Security--- *when I am disabled, paid in mywork years and I get $914 a month. It's ridiculous. +EDIT: After much research, I found this information: "Refugees and people granted asylum - both groups that have legal status in the U.S. - are also eligible for federal cash assistance." And: "The U.S. Department of State also provides local resettlement agencies with a one-time payment of $2,375 per refugee" So I misunderstood the monthly payment amounts but the people illegally crossing the border since 2021 have been officially labeled as "refugees" and "asylum seekers" by the current leadership, therefore making them "qualify" for the cash and benefits that they actually don't really qualify for.

Can confirm immigration without merits or standards is absolutely HORRIBLE. We’re living in an era where we have migrant workers who are unhygienic, have no manners, no class, no compassion for vulnerable people, and in general are just a risk and liability to society! Immigration won’t stop anytime soon, but we need strict standards and things like merits (professional career, good education etc.) to truly increase the quality of people we are bringing into our countries!

Out of all the people I've talked with on this issue, and it's been a lot, I see most often that first generation legal migrants fully support locking down the borders and sending illegals back. They know what it means to work to get here and they feel that everyone else that wishes to be here should put in the same work. Their children on the other hand start going left right away and want open borders. Does anyone else see what the problem is here? It's our schools, they need to be reformed so that they're not indoctrinating future generations. Also, that was the best ad and transition to it that I've seen.

I come from an immigrant family and I usually love your videos, however this one doesn't sit right with me and not just because of personal bias. Living in Illinois and having lived in my home country I do agree that this IS an issue, but I feel it's important not to vilify the migrants, there's issues that are bigger than that of safety or concern for migrants committing crimes, I'd hate for people to start turning against immigrants rather than the politicians in power who are messing everything up for everyone.
@Lethal_Bite Жыл бұрын
The important distinction here is ILLEGAL immigration. My grandmother was an immigrant. But she came legally, had her papers in order, and then worked quickly to obtain citizenship. That is a good immigrant. No one has a problem with immigration as a whole, provided the new immigrants use the proper channels where we have resources to accomplish the things they need. The problem we have is hundreds of thousands of people just hopping the border and not being screened for criminal backgrounds or gang relations. We have no clue who is entering or how many, and we don't have the resources to handle such a huge number of people. See the difference?
@rickymagician8716 Жыл бұрын
@Lethal_Bite I'm referring more so to the (hopefully unintentional) emphasis on crimes committed by immigrants, I don't find it fair to depict them as people intending to come in order to be destructive or violent, I'm sure many of them are good people getting caught up in messy politics and policy. Yes it's important to recognize these crimes and hold perpetrators accountable, but it's important to try and not lump everyone into that category.
@Lethal_Bite Жыл бұрын
@@rickymagician8716 Oh, I definitely can see what you mean. Especially since Brett and many others just call everyone migrants instead of saying illegal immigrants when referring to these crimes and incidents. Legal immigrants typically are very peaceful and make amazing neighbors. It's the illegal ones that are causing issues, and they are getting lumped together. And yes, not all illegal immigrants are violent, but those are the ones we can't screen, so it is the avenue that is used by those who would never pass a background check.
@connorallgood0922 Жыл бұрын
If other states are going to get upset with having illegal immigrants in their city and call upon border states to take the responsibility of these immigrants, then let the border states handle to problem, don't tell them they can't secure their borders.

If you want to know about hunting, don’t ask the vegetarians, ask the carnivores. JoJo might be informed about certain subjects and have an opinion on them.
