Yeah I was shook neither of them said anything tbh, I feel like so many people don’t hold anyone accountable until after people point it out. I mean I understand to a point of being nervous to speak up or truly not realizing something was wrong till after, but they’re both older than her and the hosts, it was the perfect opportunity for someone to hold her accountable in that moment and clarify. I get it, just unfortunate they didn’t use that opportunity. Also I hate that both of them are not including Brooke. Tana has a responsibility too to include her cohost and look out for her, especially with Jojo barely acknowledging her

I literally am dying over the fact she says she grew up “middle class” WTF everyone knows a double household income, private school and home schooling, and dance classes = UPPER CLASS/wealthy. Meaning AT LEAST $150k yearly income for her as a child. Bullshit middle class. Jojo never had to struggle to pay for groceries, housing, etc or absolutely anything she needed. 21:34
@amandamandamands
@amandamandamands Жыл бұрын
I agree that she doesn't understand that she grew up upper middle class (dad chiropractor, mum owns a dance studio). One thing that I will give her is that the dance classes wouldn't have cost anything as her mum owned the studio, listening to Jess tell it JoJo was home-schooled because the school suggested it after placement tests on the first day of school (tested at 3rd grade level). Seems like Jess could do that because having a dance studio means that she could take JoJo if she needs to.

I know she said they lived “comfortably.” but what I don’t get is why she made it sound like it was “humble beginnings.” Her approach and phraseology toned this down as to make us believe it truly was humble and simple. A dual income from her parents with those professions is a big deal. Wouldn’t it have made sense for her to say she was “well off” and “very blessed” from the beginning, and not have her situation compared to her original as “simple living?” when people in general act so ignorant to that is really off-putting and it’s not just because it was her that said it. But it says a lot about where she’s at currently as a person. This really irks me and is insensitive to people who are financially working hard and not where they need to be… that’s why it gets under my skin

I always hate when people start stanning or labelling problematic people as girlboss baddie icon or some shit just because they didn't have any recent scandals and forget the list of controversies which they did not take accountability for. Sure, Tana has changed and grown but she has not taken accountability for some of her past actions and still continues to be problematic as we saw from the recent Cynthia scandal. Which in my opinion is one of her milder controversies, that says a lot.

it really hurt to watch this because i am always Brooke in conversations. i sometimes don’t mind, but literally when i try to jump in i get talked over just how Brooke was. or i’ll be sitting there and no one really acknowledges me until randomly i’ll be zoning out that i’ll get hit with the “hey wow almost forgot you were here, you’ve been so quiet! what have been you been thinking about/what’s on your mind?” and literally when i get into some good dialogue of what i want to talk about and then i get talked over all over again. the worst though is when i’ll be really engaged and i’ll try to add my bit in but then i get talked over and the conversation completely changes and i’ll get sad/annoyed cause i had a really good story and something i love talking about but i feel awkward trying to bring it up again cause it seems like the moment passed but i wasn’t able to jump in. and then i zone out and passively listen cause no one has noticed that they’re blocking me out.. maybe i’ve been friends with wrong people.. it’s so hard to tell because i’m autistic and the social cues are so hard to understand. but yeah i totally feel Brooke in this podcast i didn’t even realize/i always ignore that i’m treated like this all the time ☹️ really hope she gets to speak out it’s the worst.

I also struggle with social cues and eye contact but I’ve never been diagnosed for autism, maybe I should go get that checked out tho 😭

I feel like jojo thinks that she's cool bc she's "friends" with these older influencers that she grew up watching. She thinks she's more mature than people her age bc she was made to skip her childhood to work like an adult. But she doesn't see that these older influencers really can't relate to her. Most of them have childhoods. Most of them relate to people their own age or they diddle people younger. But the point is these older celebrities still see her as younger, but just like a character of fascination bc of how rich and famous she is. I dont thinkshe ever learned what a real connection and real vulnerability and real friendship looks like. So these people have her on their podcasts for the views, but they're essentially using her. But she sees it as I'm so smart and mature and everyone loves me so much. I really worry that jojo will end up being very problematic. Sure she has all the money in the world, but there is so much that money cannot replace especially in childhood. I'm afraid her morals and ethics and priorities could lead to her being abusive to others. I hope not.

This is honestly a little traumatic to watch, because as someone who is introverted and neurodivergent in a way that makes it difficult for me to navigate social situations, I have been ignored and bowled over in social situations for most of my life. I always make it a point to look at and engage with more quiet people in group settings, because I know how invisable one can feel and how painful that is. I have grown sooo much in the last decade and I now just walk away from those situations. I make my effort to converse and if I care enough about the people in the conversation, I'll express my struggles and see how things go from there. Otherwise I'm like...aha...this isn't going to get better and I go find something else to do. Also, as someone with these kinds of experiences, I can't help but want to point out that Tana could have done something to balance things out, if she cared to. The way Jojo is currently acting is unacceptable but as someone whose been a casual fan of Jojo since her dance mom days I feel like there’s a lot of context I can provide as to WHY Jojo is acting that way and her current mindset… Jojo has always had her issues but I was sympathetic considering how she was raised. Her mom is a stagemom that basically groomed her to be a child star and doesn’t seem to have Jojo’s best interests at heart. For example, Jojo is actually a natural brunette but her mom has been bleaching her hair blonde since she was a TODDLER (2-years old), likely to make her stand out. Her mom also knowingly put Jojo on dance moms despite Abby’s infamous mistreatment (mind you Abby especially disliked Jojo and didn’t want her on Dance Moms but the producers insisted, so Jojo was treated even more harshly than others, Abby only started treated Jojo well after she left the show and became famous). Till this day, Jojo keeps contact with Abby and even DEFENDS Abby despite the mistreatment/abuse she suffered. All her other peers have cut off contact and have spoken about the negative impacts of the show. The fact that Jojo’s mom is the ONLY one to still allow her child to keep in contact with Abby is concerning. Jojo actually views her experience in the show as a positive one when there’s plenty of documented evidence of Abby being intentionally malicious towards Jojo. Jojo is unequivocally a victim of Abby and yet she defends her…I suspect that plays a part as to why she keeps defending the likes of Colleen and discrediting vicitms. Jojo has also been bullied by the internet as a CHILD for frankly, no reason other than being “cringe” and I suspect that’s part of the reason why she doesn’t take the “cancelling” (as she puts it) of ppl like Colleen/Shane seriously. Jojo was also slightly bullied/teased by her peers (and even adults on the show) for being “annoying” and “loud” and it seems to have affected her. I feel like that plays a role in how she views criticisms towards her. I’ve always hoped that Jojo would realize that the adults around her have failed and for her to finally accept that she was a victim…I wanted her to heal and move on but unfortunately it seems she’s becoming a worse person as time goes on. She’s an adult now, and frankly, I find it difficult to sympathize with her even knowing her background. At this point, I don’t think Jojo is going to ever acknowledge her mistakes. The people she’s surrounded by share her views and encourage it. Right now, I’m worried about the influence she has on younger kids and how the things she says could negative affect the kids watching her.

@@queenofhorror29 their choice to be bottle blonde actually does say something. There is privilege tied to being able to keep bottle blonde hair camera ready (it takes time, labor, and resources) Bottle Blonde is also meant to emphasize youthfulness as hair darkens with age and hormone changes due to things like pregnancy. Tana and JoJo rely on being blonde as part of their branding. They aren’t even attempting a “natural blonde” look so commenting on them being blonde is obviously not about people who are blonde or even those who go for a natural blonde dye job. jojo is definitely being rude to brooke. like trishas interview on the podcast is the perfect example on how you should treat two podcast host that are interviewing you. everytime brooke made a comment or asked trisha a question she would always make sure to look at her and answer the question/comment as well as make conversation with brooke back and do the same. if you're going to join a podcast with two host you can't just ignore one and not the other its basic manners whether it's on a podcast or talking to people irl. also to add on they also definitely need to change their layout and how they're sitting cause having tana facing the guest directly and brooke on the side quite literally in the corner is so stupid cause this will continue to happen.

"we were living in a one bedroom apartment" AS WELL AS OWNING A HOUSE. They only got the apartment because of the show and filming. That's important to clarify, and really lame for Jojo to act like they were barely making it lol. There's a huge difference between not enough space vs not enough money to live.

God Jojo had some other crazy takes in this besides being horrible to Brooke like supporting Abby (which I already knew she did) and Olivia Jade?!?

Thanks for the support for bisexuality visibility Adam ❤🎉 it's so isolating to try to connect with LGBT+ folks only to hear and feel that they don't really accept you, don't think your feelings are real or say stuff like they are just "waiting for us to decide" etc. It always hurt to feel that our "friends" are only interested in the version of us they want us to be, and not just accepting us as we are. Love to see people supporting people. ❤

first, thank you for calling out her nasty comment about bisexuality!! second- i admire anyone who can process what they’re saying when it’s sped up 💀💀 anything over 1.25 is like gibberish to me. also, poor brooke. ive been that person in a conversation before and it sucks so bad.

Fun fact: Sasha Cohen Baron was originally supposed to play Freddie Mercury in BR, but he wanted to portray Freddie in a much more "detailed" and realistic light than the movie portrayed. He left production, and after looking again, Rami was eventually cast 💕

Thanks for addressing the bi erasure. When someone is leaving someone else out, I try to include the excluded person. I'm a little surprised Tana didn't address Brooke more.

My sister worked for a private security company in California a few years ago. One overnight shift was at JoJo's mansion. Huge place, a few fancy cars, completely gated and kind of remote . Huge property. She briefly met her when her food delivery arrived and she brought it to the door. She was very polite. My sister told me it was remote enough she had to drive 10 mins to a gas station to use the bathroom on a quick break(common, i mean who wants strangers in their home). She met her mom briefly as well. The point is, 2 years ago, this happened, no freaking way did JoJo not know she's rich. Lmao.

Agreed the layout is confusing, but guesting & hosting are both arts. Both parties could be more practiced in the art of conversation and taking turns… it shows the immaturity of Jojo as well as the professional level of all involved. for everyone saying it’s not that deep, I mostly agree. That said, Brooke being disrespected and uninvolved is a long-standing issue for the pod and her body language indicates a negative experience.

I cannot believe jojo went on this podcast and said she would gladly go on dance moms again. That show was downright abuse, and its funny that she even says that taking into account that Abby HATED her, and she was barely on the show as much as the other girls were. To say most of them have come out of the show saying "f this" makes it very clear most of those girls felt awful about what abby said and did to them. It reads as very insensitive imo. "Remember where you came from" shouldnt include shows that featured verbal abuse to minors.

Tana honestly is so 2 faced tho. She went to Trisha's (at this point victim of Colleen's abuse) house, held her baby, did together a podcast then she goes on to be all friends with Jojo Siwa, somoene who publicly defended Colleen and basically called her victims liars. You'd think that her PR team would tell her that this is a conflict of interest but at this point her team seems to be non existent.

Omggg Jojo claiming she struggled b.c her and her mom "had" to share a one bedroom! They CHOSE that to pursue a dream. When you truly struggle financially, you're not affording a second home! Omg that's infuriating. Just thinking about the times I had to share a 2 bedroom basement apartment with my mom, sister, aunt and 2 cousins...just makes me wanna slap her....metaphorically lol.
