Fun fact: Jonathan was the first Shonen manga protagonist to be non-japanese. And also the first to be killed. Before this, most shonen mangas had the trope of Japanese protagonists. Araki-sensei broke this trope, and decided to start a new trope of killing off main characters as well. From here, the manga started to inspire other mangas, and still continues inspiring. A pity that it got a TV adaptation only in 2012. But it's good that the adaptation is as accurate as possible to the manga.

Yes, I was waiting for you to get to Episode 9. I'm glad you didn't get spoiled, because this moment has to be experienced blind to be believed. Because this is what makes JoJo special: It's an *anthology series* . That means every part has a new protagonist, a new "JoJo," with their own story, their own supporting cast, and so on. The only thing they have in common besides the nickname is that they are all part of the same family lineage.
