Harley is working at the asylum, maybe something with music therapy and she tries to manipulate him. Probably to share part of his fame. He falls in love with her until he realizes what she's doing and then... well, most likely bad things will happen to her.

It literally doesn't. In the first film, Arthur is such a loser that he imagines having a girlfriend. In this film, Harley isn't an imagination; she's more of an inspiration for him. So, there's definitely some character growth that I'm seeing just from the trailers.
