Well, P2 is still more of a Persona game than P1 that's closer to SMT, but the gameplay is still really slow and encounter rate is a little insane, which can make dungeons a bit of a drag on PS1 or PSP, but stories and characters are what make me still like this duology, despite all those other elements (also, P2 is easier than P3, P4 Vanilla or P5, so that also helps).

As a boiyo who only got my Switch on Black Friday of last year and immediately preordered Smash, I gotta admit it feels like the, pardon the pun, ultimate bit of fan service for Sakurai to give me Joker. I got Persona 5 the day before launch due to early release at Gamestop, was the first person to walk out with a copy that night, and proceeded to 100% the game within no less than 3 playthroughs because I suck.

@@blademaster5074 Sadly, although people got used to it, Atlus allegedly uses Anime/Movie/Dancing/Arena games hero's names to be canon. Minato is the giant elephant because we got the name very late (several years after P3FES, a four-part movie released revealing Makoto Yuki as the canon and then P3D and P5D also used the name. He went as ??? in P4A), With Yu, Souji Seta didn't grew attached and time later came P4 Arena and the anime. With Ren was even sooner and people were thirsty for a name and just grabbed the most edgelord name to be ever created ("A Killer Curse" does NOT portray the essence of the hero, in my opinion) that appeared in the manga, a piece of media that isn't recognized as canonically appropriate by Atlus, but the anime gave us Ren Amamiya and is used in P3D and P5D too.
