I agree. He scared me like no one else ever could, he is my all time favorite villain. I love Christopher Nolan's work, Memento was also an awesome movie.

Thanks for the fact about Heath going to Jack, I didn't know that. Nicholson is probably my all time favorite actor, but in these movies I enjoyed Heath much more.

Ledger and Hamill both laughed hysterically in the face of death. Jack screamed like a bitch. And honestly, that IS the most important aspect of the Joker's character. Death is the ultimate punchline, and he can't wait for it to happen to anybody. Even himself.

If I remember correctly, something went wrong with the Hospital detonation in The Dark Knight. Ledger was trying to get the detonation working or time it where he would press a button when the crew finished the detonation and he just had to keep trying to get the detonation to work.

Heath ledger's performance was more realistic and something I could realistically imagine, he was awesome, a lot more sinister in my view, plays more games on a chaotic and social level

Nicholson is my favorite actor of all time and one of the most talented performers out there. But Heath did a much better job as the joker. Nicholson was good but when Heath played the joker it gave me a more dark and creepy feeling. It was definatley Heath's best acting, but Jack's was in The Shining. What can I say. I love'em both!

Heath played this role better. Nobody never else couldn't play so great as Heath. He didn't just played, he lived this character. I think he played himself in movie. Heath Ledger is a Joker

Heath was evil and insane, but Jack was even more evil and even more insane. Heath was amazing but Jack is (so far) THE BEST Joker of all time hands down.

Although I feel the jack Nicholson is almost is more like the cartoon joker, Heath ledger did a good joker as in getting the psychotic killer side of the joker. Now, if you blended them together you'd get an epic joker

When jack done it seemed like a big fucking kids film. It wasn't even serious. When Heath done it he was so powerful and he had that crazy kind of evil comedy when he appeared in the dark knight.

the movies are so different just the character has teh same name. But Jack Nicholson was the bad guy in a story that the hero must defeat the bad guy. I stand at my statement: You can't equaliz the roles of them because they're roles are so different.

Everybody says Ledger was better. But the rpoblem is you can't equalize and say he's better because they played two both diffrent person's. It's still the joker but Jack nicholson was more a criminal who is a gangster. And Heath plays a Sick, Criminal Mastermind who wants to take over more than just gotham city but also wants to show the mob that he is better then anyone of them
