I’d almost rather watch rehearsals than the performance....I learn so much from watching the dancers work and talk about what they’re trying to do, even if I don’t understand their language. I could watch them all day!

02:27 The ultimate pointe shoes destroyer in action! I bet that she needed 100 pairs of shoes each month. It is incredible how strong were and still are her feet.

@nothersheep Actually, I'd find her gorgeous, even on the street. Especially on the street. Maybe thin isn't appealing to you personally, but that doesn't make it 'terrifying' to everyone else. To each, their own.

What I love about this clip is you know it's Romeo & Juliet from the movement and the relationship the dancers are developing, even though you don't know the ballet (which I didn't! I just thought, 'This HAS to be Romeo & Juliet.') Where be thy auto-complete now, Cleetus? (Do try to be less smug whilst the grown up artists show us how it should be done.)

She's quite fitting in the role of Juliet, the rebel girl.

Well, of a very particular beauty. Her dancing is incomparable, but if you remember her sitting in her change room nearly naked... she's so thin you'd likely find her appearance disturbing if you ran into her on the street. That's one of the weird things about modeling, ballet, even movies. What's beautiful in one context can be terrifying in another. But, yes, in the context of dance, she's sublime, and her body does exactly what we ask it to. It suggests something beyond everyday humanity.
