Nice! Appreciate the tip about increasing the light samples to fix the matte plane darkness. That one had been bugging me for a while.

Jeff Patton I could never have guessed that there were any car rendering related issues that you hadn’t solved yet :D Also thanks for everything you’ve shared, you’ve always been my inspiration when it comes to car rendering and basically everything I’ve done regarding car rendering is based on your work :-)

Why didn't you use the camera match utility to place the camera ? This tool and easy and precise

Gérémy Baccati I’m having like 50/50 success rate with that tool because it requires that 1) Your reference lines are perfectly perpendicular and 2) The image is not straightened or lens corrected in any way. I try to use it a lot for interior work but in this case I simply didn’t think of it :P

Hi, I have a question, I heard people say that it's difficult to remove flickering on objects in fstorm render, this is so? could you do a tutorial or give a link to a tutorial?. Thanks you.
@TextureSupply4 жыл бұрын
Hi. Flickering in what, animations? I haven't had any issues with that so far, would love to see some examples.
@VictoRs1074 жыл бұрын
@@TextureSupply Yes, in animation these are not my example, but you can see flickering on objects. Do you somehow struggle with this flickering or not? I mean, how to separately record Light Cash as in Vray render. I used fstorm about 3 years ago, maybe they are fixsied this a issue. kzbin.info/www/bejne/mWjVaZ5_jLqcqMk
@TextureSupply4 жыл бұрын
@@VictoRs107 Ah you mean the fireflies/hot pixels? Yes that was an issue before, was because of very intense glossy rays or something like that. Nowadays there is a setting to clamp overbright rays which solves the problem. This animation contains a looot of glass and metal reflections but no flickering: kzbin.info/www/bejne/pmbPmYGfnbdna8U&ab_channel=VizGuru

@@VictoRs107 Note that the image quality in that video isn't the greatest because it's heavliy denoised. But at least no fireflies.

Little disappointing that the backplate and HDRI are not a seperate link? Is this your HDRI or did you buy it? If so, I would hope you could just tell us where you got it and I can make a one time purchase for the set instead of paying monthly for access.
@TextureSupply3 жыл бұрын
Hi. I've actually never published them online simply because they don't deserve publishing. Can't really be used for anything serious. If you're looking for HDR's + Backplates for automotive rendering, I'd very much recommend Duron Automotive's stuff among others. Really good and can be used the exact same way!

@axelnoir37163 жыл бұрын
I don't know if I'm the only one who notices this but the shadows that appear under a car after enabling "matte" for the plane material look too dark and fake. Is there any way to tweak/fix this to make renders look more realistic?

Dear very nice video. Have you been able to do denoising in animation render output from fstorm?
@TextureSupply3 жыл бұрын
I use neat video for that. In my opinion far better than all the "smart" AI denoisers built in render engines these days.

as a car photographer i have a question, do you think learning to do all that (not the car itself for now) would be "usefull" or the time spent on 1 single image would be way too much and other options would be more interesting ? if anyone has an answer i'll gladly take it :D oh and almost forgot the most important, That look pretty dope

sure, anything is possible with 3d. imagine you have to go to certain place to get a good image. with these you can change to a thousand scenery. you would have so many alternative for your work. ouh, and go check unreal engine 5. it's mind blowing for a scenery. checkout the unreal 5 tutorial. cheers keep learning and stay positive.

@@kannonfps hi, unreal engine 5 is quite powerful to create the illustration that you want. and it support HDRI too. well, as a 3d artist still the best result and realistic look for scenery like this by using a plugin like this (vray, octane, redshift, fstorm.. etc) but when we're talking about REALTIME (good enough) dis is de way! ... the game engine like unreal or uity is the way to go. ahahah, i'm still earning how to turn on the computer now.. anytime.. cheers, :D
