*_In the combined previous 10 SEASONS, the Guardians hold the 4TH BEST TEAM RECORD in ALL OF BASEBALL; a few games behind the Astros._* Sure, they have made mistakes --- MLB team management is competitive in the EXTREME --- but, OVERALL, they stacked up VERY WELL compared to the rest of MLB, especially when factoring the REALITIES of their financial restrictions [read: they are NOT in a MEGA-lucrative market]. So, yeah, I/we get your point but I suggest you look at the BIGGER PICTURE.

The fact that Bo and Pete Alonso are from the same draft class surprises me

Possible hot take, Yainer swings so much and walks so little that he will get 3000 hits.

A month into the season, and the Guardians have one of the best records in baseball. That makes the trades mentioned in this video look like they haven't caused many issues so far other than missing the playoffs last year. We'll see what their record is like in September. Maybe they'll win the division easily. Maybe they'll implode and miss the playoffs. Meanwhile, the Astros have the fourth worst record and baseball. Yainer Diaz has a better BA and BABIP so far this season than last season, but his OPS and SLG have both dropped a decent amount. He may or may not reach expectations. Nolan Jones's stats have been pretty bad this season too. He isn't even batting .200, his OPS is under .500, and his BABIP is down by over 140 points to .255. He might not be a good player this year if those trends continue. We'll see what happens, but so far there are signs that both Diaz and Jones could very well have a worse season this year than last year, especially with Jones.

And despite all of this, the Guardians are still primed for a great season and future. Two elite prospects at the top of the system, and the first overall pick. Yes these trades hurt, but you have to remember at the time Oscar Gonzalez was the main piece in a huge playoff run. It looked like Kwan/Straw/Gonzalez was going to be the future and the biggest need would be SS and 1B. Now it’s outfield, but there’s multiple options to fill that hole as well as the current guys are doing a great job.

Nolan jones being right under Yandy Diaz (another former clevelander) in OPS leaders hurts my heart as a Guardians fan

I dont believe Benson and Jones are actually good players. They looked like all the 4A outfielders the Guards have had over the last 10 years

It has been a full decade since a Cleveland outfielder has hit 20 HR in a season

2024 Season is very young, but the Guards are 5-2 and have scored the most runs in the AL so far... time will tell.

The first 10 seconds of audio just sounds like he recorded it speaking too fast then slowed it down in editing lol. I see you Jolly, I see you.

I think the most painful is going to end up being Junior Caminero for Tobias Myers. Live to see it though since I will never recognize the “Guadians.”
