Jomashop I will Never Use Again due to this Watch ! (Calvin Klein Infinite Automatic ETA 2020 )

So i bought this Calvin Klein Infinite Automatic on the back of my Swiss watch challenge videos. Payed $144 plus shipping and UK customs. Initially it looked good until i removed it from the box.
Along with this watch I was also displeased with the service from Jomashop to get returns information. Took five days and multiple emails, even then had to raise a paypal case before I got the infomation. Then found out i will have to pay fully insured post back will only be refunded for the watch and not the shipping to me. So for all this i'm loosing £30 of my own money to basically rent a broken CK watch for a week. Not my fault the watch was faulty or that Jomashop didn't check the goods before hand.
Lesson learnt, No more Calvin Klein watches or shopping with JomaShop

That's terrible. I've almost ordered from them before, a few times. Kind of glad I didn't if that's there customer service. And what about the warranty that's threw them not the manufacturer. Thanks for the warning about Jomashop. I had a problem with a watch on AliExpress with a loose port, luckily I was able to fix it myself. Return postage just isn't worth it. I'd enjoy a video of you fixing the Calvin Klein. Good luck.

I had the same issue with the same watch but from Ashford. They advised to get it repaired locally and they would refund the repair cost. Repair cost was £20 from a indie watch repair guy in South Yorkshire and the refund was in my account in 2 days

See thats a thought, but i would be the one repairing it so don't know how to prove labour costs. Nowhere is open to even get a quote. Might sugguest that to them and see what they say. Better then being out of pocket for £30. Ashfords sound better then Jomashop haha.

Sorry to see that happen bro. I believe that movement alone is worth around $236 . Personally I would've kept it and fiddled with it or had it repaired rather then go thru those hoops . I think that might have been a more viable solution and less of a loss imo . Hope it ends well tho. 🥂👀✌️

I know it is something i did consider but thought that the returns would be easier and i don't know if the screw has caused more damage. If it's got into the hair spring thats a bit for me to replace. But we will see what happens. Hope they see this video.

They will. PayPal don't take shit. They're great. They might even refund your tax, knowing that you'll get to 'double-dip'. They've done for me in the past when I've been screwed like you were.

I could but don't know if any damage has been done by the parts before hand. Also for a lot of people they couldn't carry out such a repair. I know watch repairs around here would of charge for such a fix.

To be fair, for under £150, it isn't too bad (assuming it works of course). Got one from Ashford Watches with no problems. Perfectly ok as a dress watch although the crown is a bit small.

@@primerak i cant remember what dial size this was. I want to say 29mm. I recently sold the watch but you can measure with a set of calipers. I bought the dial and hands from raffles time but aliexpress and ebay also sells eta2824 dials/hands.

Ordering from alix is fine , if there is a problem you are in control via the website , the seller will part or full refund you without sending the product back, i`ve been ordering from ali for 7 years. its more efficient than ebay .......

Alix is better funny enough had two returns done on there, one didn't send the item back, second postage was fully paid and not left out of pocket. I just wanted the movement haha. Thing is the also have their own warrenty not the brands, wouldn't suprise me if this gets repaired and resold on their site.

I bought this same watch from Amazon Prime which in this case comes with a full Swatch Brands warranty. My watch came as a perfect example of this great value timepiece. If I'd had any issue upon delivery Amazon Prime would have handled it without any question. I'd have had a new replacement within a week at no cost. I paid $139.99 US with free shipping of course. Calvin Klein is part of the massive Swatch Brands conglomerate. As is ETA movements. This watch is the deal of the century!

I bought a new watch from Jomashop and they sent me a USED model with damaged packaging, a manual from a completely different watch and THREE LINKS MISSING from the bracelet! They refused to pay for return shipping and didn't even apologize for sending out a dud watch. I'd heard horror stories about how bad Jomashop customer service is, but thought they were overblown. Not so, the stories are true - Jomashop is AWFUL. You save $$ but buyer beware, they don't give a fig about you as a customer. Worst customer service I’ve ever experienced. I follow there pricing all the time . From what I see , every item has a xx% off then a Holiday or event sale goes live and no need to change prices cause the discounts are already in place. And sure enough they are same price as they were week's or even months ago.

By all means share away :) get the word out. Thing that gets me a lot of youtubers advistise their site which i think is due to their commissons program they wrong so get paided. But it's wrong lossing money on a product that was broken before i got it. If i didn't like it and was sending it back fair enough but not when it's faulty.

Haven't had any issues with Joma shop, I have also got a hamilton from them the kahaki auto titanium. It sucks to see something like this happen and tarnish the website, If this happend to me especially on a more expensive purchase id lose my mind.

I've bought 4 watches from jomashop ranging in price from $130 to $3400 without a single issue. Shipping has always been no more than 5 days and everything was always sealed with all tags attached and perfect working order. The Glycine combat sub I bought even has the manufacturer's warranty. I hear stories like this from time to time but I'm sure it's the same with most businesses but when it's a grey market dealer like jomashop people love to pounce on it and say "I told you so!"

Hi wish had seen this before I bought my watch from Joma. Had bought other lower end watches from them no issue. Then purchased my first high end planet ocean omega from them. Meant to be new. Came with clear badly re-polished scratches on casing . Contacted straight away, customer service was dismal they offered to repolish again. Considering they sold me a flawed watch as new and only offered to destroy it more will not spend my money there again. Buyer beware, shop at your own risk.

Got a responce and they have said because it's over 30 days since the sale they won't refund, even though it's taken 30+ days for them to reply to my request for a return postage lable. Bloody joke. I would say that if you didn't get a response to an email they have online chat and a phone number. I would've tried the online chat function first then called. Sending more emails when the first one didn't get answered is kind of like pissing into the wind. That said I ordered the wrong watch by accident on a weekend. I sent an email and they answered me the following Tuesday and cancelled the order.

I would appreciate if buyers who encountered bad experiences with Jomashop to be published so that buyers will be made aware of any malpractices or shortfalls and avoid falling being a victim. I know the customer service of Jomashop are not up to the mark during this pandemic but hopefully their management will take note and remedy the procedures for better shopping experience. I am sorry you had that problem, I got mine from Ashford and it was perfect when it came. The problem was to size the bracelet, those pins are ridiculously tight in there.

Take it to the watchmaker. For a fraction of the money you would lost returning the piece he will make it work. Its not a bad watch. Shit happends to the major players. As for JShop - fuck'em. Lesson learned. For you and for us.

Thing is i can repair it, easy fix. However i don;t know where the loose parts have been before they got stuck. If it got into the hair spring then that can be pricey to repair. Would rather them find that out then me.

Dis-satisfied JOMASHOP customer right here. They suck the big one pure and simple. I bought a Citizen Nighthawk that (three years later) has never worked right. They wouldn't take it back but would "fix it" at my cost of shipping. The watch has spent more time being "fixed" then on my wrist. I know people like them because they are cheap, but I have come to understand a lot of their stock are return watches or defective watches that they then sale. I already hear all the people saying, "I've never had a problem with any watch I bought from JOMASHOP". First off, good for you. Second, I am willing to bet you don't wear those watches much and they sit in a case. If they were worn regularly they would need service. That much I can tell from talking with others on the watch forums. In short, you get what you pay for and JOMASHOP sucks. I feel for you in this situation. I hope it gets worked out in a positive manner.

I had 1 problem with an order where JS sent me an open box Bulova LP as new. The reason I wanted to return it was because the subdial second hand wasn't aligned and they told me to reset it, after a back and forth they did issue me a full refund. I bought a Pulsar WRC chronograph from the UK about 2-3 years ago and returned it cause it was too sporty, Paypal covered $30 which was most of the fee so you should check the return policy to see it it's covered.

I'm gonna try and not just call BS outta the gate on what sounds like just another snitty-Brit [or Scot sorry not good with regional dialects from across the pond] with his nickers in a bunch... Here is my experience with Joma as well as CK watches. First off sorry about your obviously bad watch, it happens but if you truly had bad customer service after escalating to a supervisor at Joma then I get your frustration. I've been buying a LOT of watches since about 2014 from Joma, they are my go-to and have never had once bad watch delivered so on that front I've never had to deal with customer service. I did recently need to return a 1 year old Seiko automatic for a warranty repair, the return authorization process was simple enough and I will let you all know how that flushes out since they still have it. I gift a lot of watches probably 5-6 a year plus the few I purchase for my collection, I usually buy Citizen & Seiko's but recently I started buying CK's for charity auctions and group gifting. After some research I found that CK is made [until 2019] by the Swatch Group, they own in whole or part MANY reputable brands. I found an article that said the CK watch design team was comprised of individuals from 'any' of the subsidiaries like Tissot, Rado, Longines, Mido, Omega, Hamilton, etc..approximately 20-or so. I think they left it a bit ambiguous so maybe folks think they might be getting 'Omega' designs in CK, who knows. All I know Is that I was impressed by the quality and looks of all of the men's CK watches I've purchased. Not once was a recipient disappointed wither as a gift or in an auction. I would classify the CK as a 'fashion' watch but a high-end fashion watch. Seiko's off brand Orient although NOT an 'actual' Seiko by name is a pretty impressive value and in many cases Seiko quality shines thru them. The CK's I own are not my everyday watches but they are nice and nonetheless I do wear them for occasions where they will stand out, every time I wear them I get a complement and when I run into other 'watch guys' they are surprised of the low price on Joma. I did have an event I needed five [5] of the same CK watch for a group event and my initial selection while in stock on the web site was actually not, a CS team member at Joma contacted me via email and asked me to call them to discuss. We spent neatly 40 minutes discussing other CK watches in the same price range as well as a few other brands [while I was looking at them on their web site], then while I was on the phone made sure they were physically in stock and had her supervisor sign off on overnite shipping at no additional cost to me. This insured I was able to get them to my local engraver in time for the presentation date. BRAVO! :) Good review though, not every transaction is gonna ne a '10' Hopefully Joma will see this and step up for you!

yeah movement holder tab which attaches the movement to the movement holder. The watch has been dropped at some point in my mind. The assembly is very rigid so any not will break the small screws.

It's just the screw for the movement holder piece.i wouldn't pay anything if i were you. id just pop of the back take a set of watch tool tweezers grab the movement holder tab place it back into place and screw it in with the loose screw.that's actually common in low end Swiss watches with the eta 2824. Wouldn't be the first time i had to do it myself instead of sending it back cuz id lose out on the shipping money.if your buying grey market from a place like joma you have got to have watch tools and be mechanically inclined enough to fix them bro.cuzthat's just how the ball drops sometimes.by the way I've got 3 Calvin's all Swiss made autos and all were from joma all for $120 usd a piece.1of which is the limited edition to 1999 pieces ever made.now thats a steal for 120 bro.with swiss made eta 2844 skeletonized movement with domed sapphire crystal and sapphire see thru case back and i love it

Well the good thing is i got all my money back off this watch, they then had a sale for the black dialed version for $99 which i jumped on haha. At the end of the day i'm taking the movement for another project and thats the reason i got it :). Just released my review on the black dialed version.

Well it's a bit of a funny one, In the uk its written if the goods are faulty the supplier is exspected to pay postage,. Basically not leaving you out of pocket. However over seas sales don't follow the same guidelines. However see what happens with the paypal case. If i was returing because i didn't like it thats fair enough but not when it's broke.

Was a partial refund not offered? , I have had a couple of cheepish watches turn up with problems and I have Just taken the partial and fixed the watch myself. worked out cheeper that having a good one first time in a couple of cases

No they haven't, after i raised a case with paypal i just got a generic returns email from them with a PDF of how i have to fork out more to return the broken watch. I would have took a partail refund however.
