The fact that the first judge says "I have him running out of bounds" says to me that he also saw it as a fumble but had the player out of bounds when grabbing the ball and thus the ball is out of bounds without a recovery. So they both thought it was a fumble not just 1 judge

As a former white hat, I can tell you that you need great officials pn your crew. To me, the key was the direction of the ball when possession ended. The ball did not travel forward as it would during a pass attempt, it went straight up. Therefore the fumble call was absolutely correct. Big thanks to the line judge!! @@thegooddr5931 Exactomundo! The good Dr! The refs said Young's arm was going forward, therefore a forward pass. His arm was going forward as the Ga. defenseman was wrapping him up causing his arm to go forward! Fumble! If you're going to use the arm going forward concept, same thing applied with Bennett. Only thing, Bennett wasn't hit on his arm as he was throwing, his hand may have opened as he was throwing the ball but it was a forward movement, ie... a forward pass that was incomplete. If Bennett's play was a fumble then Young's play was sure as Hell a fumble. Worst calls I've ever seen and they happened in the same National Championship game!

@@Jared-xf5xl it’s okay to have an off year. Uga had 47 off years in a row 😂😂😂😂 lmao. Bama has no receivers this year. No one reliable. Uga has played literally no one except Tennessee. They’ve played close against not great teams. Don’t be so sure they got it in the bag. Ohio state will torch uga secondary. But once again, on paper bama should have won this year we just came up short in some tough away games. Doesn’t happen often so enjoy it for now. Too many players from the portal, this time just hasn’t jived like years past. As a bama fan I’m definitely disappointed but you honestly can’t expect them to win every year, it’s unrealistic. Uga will have to be dominant for the next 12 years and win a chip every other year to even be close to the level bama is now. They have potential but all the lame uga fans wanted to fire Kirby 2 years ago 😂 what a bunch of losers. And like I said one great year (where Alabama still beat uga really really bad in the sec champ when we had out receivers healthy) doesn’t mean much if they can’t have sustained success over the next decade. And it’s funny even a horrible year for bama is 2 losses 😂 the past 20 years uga was lucky to only have 2 losses so don’t float too much it’ll turn around to bite you.

Not really. Coming from someone that hates both of the these teams (moreover the Georgia fan base than the team) Bryce Young threw an incomplete. Stetson Bennet fumbled. Both plays the arms were moving forward the difference was the Alabama qb arm was moving forward because of how he was tackled by the defender not because he was throwing it. Georgia qb arm was moving forward also but you had to see the right angle to see it . If you didn’t it looks like a fumble. One angle showed it one didn’t!!!!!
