Cats are truly beautiful pets with lots of love to give. These kitties aren't used to their space being invaded like this, so they're panicking (as seen when they pant) to escape. Just give them an escape route and they'll hi-tale it outta there in no time. Remember, they only scratch, bite and fight back when you pick them up in such a way as to choke off their breathing, so think about where their weight is distributed BEFORE picking up a panicky mini-tiger. Theses guys will tear flesh off your bones, and mean it.

I've been watching baseball since the days of going to the stadium with my friends as kids, to the world series drought Yankees of the early-mid eighties, and loved it because we had Mattingly, Henderson, Winfield, Righetti, etc, and loved it.
