Baseball "fights" are so fucking embarrassing. 1 in 500 actually result in any kind of fight. The league needs to enforce these embarrassments like Hockey. Anyone that leaves the dugout or ball pen is suspended and the coach also gets suspended for a player leaving. Everyone complains about the length of the game. Well this just added unneeded time.

One thing that wasn’t mentioned was in the second inning Brandon Nimmo had a pitch incredibly high and tight, and both he and Alonso just shook those pitches off and either continued the at bat or went to first base. Arenado just whines about being brushed back by his own accord and caused the benches to clear.
@WW-ik7vr2 жыл бұрын
not to mention had the pitch actually hit him lower he would have still had a similar reaction as history has shown him overreacting then as well. a high and tight chin music was the best case scenario as nobody got hit and possibly hurt but sends a message and boom beef settled but Nolan of course wanted to make the show about him XD. Cards are a great organization and know its part of the game considering what had already happened and it was obvious when the team rushed Nolan instead of the pitcher and his comments postgame that the message was dont make this worst stupid ... fast forward to this past Sunday with Schwarber and the Phils and same exact situation happened but no bench clearing or over dramatization and it really makes Nolans tirade look childish

Back in the day, when there's a brawl. Manager and coaches always try to be peace-makers. They will still let players go at it, but they stay cool and make sure nobody does anything they'll really regret. But I've notice nowadays when brawls happen, oft times coaches leads the charge, pushing/shoving players just as hard if not harder than players themselves. And at times managers go at it too. This does nothing but escalation and really it'll only be a matter of time when a brawl ends someone's career. Alonso is right that most of the times, even in a bad brawl, players pull their punches and it's not really about hurting each other but more about protecting your manhood. But if there's no cooler heads and people are just pouring gasoline to the fire, there will be a time when they stop pulling punches and really aim to hurt each other. That'll be a sad day in baseball.
