As a guy who worked in production for a number of years, I really love that y'all showed this off. The people who do the best jobs go unnoticed, because they don't mess up. Y'alls team is killer!

I had no idea there was professional disc golf or even video coverage of it. Luckily I stumbled upon Jomez in the summer of 2019 thanks to some bizarro KZbin algorithm. I was amazed at the production quality but especially the smart, witty banter between Jerm and Nate. I honestly thought it was the Sklar brothers (a comedy team) at first. Adding Uli during Covid was a plus and overall, Jomez is still the gold standard.

I think stories like this reflect a lot of ours with how we found Jomez. I was literally avoiding studying for an exam in college in 2019 and found a Jomez video through the algorithm. I have not been hooked into something through the algorithm so badly. I went from knowing nothing to owning signature series discs, playing, scouting the internet for discs and binge watching Jomez and skins matches. It's wild! Super thankful though, such a cool community. Thanks Jomez for introducing us!

“How does it translate? Neither of us have won a tournament in a decade.” 😂😂😂😂😂😂
@Jono.3 жыл бұрын
23:57 I think Jerm is very introspective about himself and his own career and I admire that. I think it is pretty honorable for him to recognize that there was a shift in his focus as he's doing a great thing for the sport now as well as still fighting hard for tournament wins even if it means they aren't as frequent. Good for him for running with the opportunity, I appreciate his commentary a lot. Brings a lot of energy to the production that's for sure lol

Like so many other people, I stumbled across pro disc golf because of KZbin randomly throwing up Jomez on my feed. The first disc golf I ever saw was Jomez final-round Worlds coverage 2021. Since then I've watched every pro tour event, started playing myself, had a little pro coaching and even built out my bag on a zuca cart. I sold off a sailboat to ditch a hobby to make room for this one during that time too. Yeah, I'd say you're growing the brand real well...loving it! Can't wait for more...
@A.J.K873 жыл бұрын
Your first round of disc golf was the 2021 world's final? Damn, that's setting the bar high right off the bat in terms of drama and suspense. I hope subsequent tournaments didn't disappoint ;)
@MegaRockeman3 жыл бұрын
Obviously that was a crazy first round to ever see and the drama of the ending was special, but I was already hooked by the front 9, so it doesn't matter if anything ever lives up to that level of drama. :)

It's really cool seeing what goes into my favourite videos on the internet. It's easy to assume that these come off without a hitch because the end product is so polished, but this shows just how much hard work goes into making it all look so clean.

One final comment for the video since this one was so great: I just wanted to say one more thanks to Jomez for this behind-the-scenes video. I think it will honestly forever change how I see some of the commentary and I really admire a lot more about the entire process of the the video production now. Even after hearing about it on other podcasts you never cease to be amaze with how that much level of production comes along that quickly because of the team behind it. Super awesome work! Thanks a ton. Thanks to Jerm and Paul for the fantastic commentary and to everyone manning the cameras as well.

Like many here, I discovered disc golf trough a Jomez video popping up on my recommended list during the height of the pandemic. I had no idea the amount of work and people behind the scenes it takes to get this amazing footage released next day. Thank you all so much for your efforts! Your quality is significantly better than the crap DGN puts out. Plus, you guys don't charge us $20 for an event only to blackout at the end of the tournament during a playoff.

I started playing disc golf in June 2021 and was immediately hooked. Therefore, I wanted to see what I could find about it on KZbin. That's when I found Jomez and I haven't miss anything since. I was actually sad when the season ended so I am not bingewatching all of the previous years coverage. Being from Montreal, I don't have that many different courses to play and your coverage gave me road trip ideas. Next summer, you'll see me at Green Mountains and Maple Wood, being mad because I am not good enough but still enjoying the journey. Thanks a lot Jomez!
