Jon Batiste stands as one of the most extraordinary and prolific musicians in history. His musical journey has been nothing short of remarkable. In 2018, the world recognized his brilliance as he earned a Grammy nomination in the Best American Roots category. But that was just the beginning.
Fast forward to 2020, and Jon Batiste's name was on everyone's lips. He received not one, but two Grammy nominations for his outstanding work on the albums "CHRONOLOGY OF A DREAM: LIVE AT THE VILLAGE VANGUARD" and "MEDITATIONS" (a collaboration with Cory Wong). The accolades didn't stop there. That same year, he clinched an Academy Award for Best Original Score for the Disney/Pixar sensation, "SOUL." This achievement was all the more special because he shared this honor with the accomplished composers Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross.

The album's release was nothing short of a game-changer, as he secured an astonishing eleven Grammy nominations across seven diverse categories - a feat never before witnessed in Grammy history. And to top it off, he walked away with five of those Grammys, including the prestigious Album of the Year award.

Louis Cato is a cool guy. It is difficult to say good-bye to a close personal friend and co worker, which happened when Jon Baptiste left. Different people. Jon is missed. Louis is welcome! I was so impressed with Jon and his musical library. You knew he was a student of music when you would hear a little ditty from The Stylistics or Al Green, or an artist that might be obscure or way before his time. I would be waiting to hear what he would play during the monologues. Pure gold.
