Jon Batiste, you're pure light. It's so beautiful to listen and hear about the way you think and create...as someone who spent her working hours teaching people to stop reacting but to instead respond and create, this touches me not just as a lover of art but as a teacher....Beautiful....we are so lucky to have your art in a form that can be shared and listening to you at the Radio City Hall was AMAZING!!!!! xo

I listened to this interview on my podcast player, then I came here to watch the whole interview again. I needed to see this interview, not just hear it. Jon Batiste is on a different level. He is an artist with many layers and I needed to look at his expressions, hand gestures, and most definitely his playing of the piano, especially in his response to Tim's question. You can treat yourself to this completely improvised 'stream of consciousness' by Jon Batiste at [1:16:16]. It gave me goosebumps. This conversation was deep and inspiring. What a delight to hear and see Jon share his wisdom and talents. Thank you Tim for this interview 🙏🏼😌

Love the slow pace format and dimmed lights that allow for intimacy and depth. It is as if Tim has a different sense of wander in his eyes. One of the best. This is what it sounds and looks like to have spiritual clarity : "Take your time to find the prize." "Own what you've been given." BL: In life, there is so much to be said for thinking about, finding, and then investing time on doing what you're built to do (The Gift).

Thank you for this moving, deep, magical interview. It is a privilege to pull up a chair (virtually) to experience this inspiring creation of a very real manifestation of energy and sharing. Jon Batiste has been on my radar a lot lately as an extremely talented and accomplished artist living from a unique and authentic place. I agree with another commenter that it’s very confusing why the views are lower, especially when the audio points the listener towards the video. The small/medium sized company I work for introduces new employees by asking a few questions, one is their favorite podcast (or a good show/book/etc)… I predate this new question but when I reflect on it I always come back to The Tim Ferris Show. I listen to A LOT of podcasts (trying to slim down my intake and be intentional about books and a good input diet) and they’re all high quality interviews with amazing guests. What sets Tim apart is the precision-like quality of his question asking. As a long-time listener it’s a joy to watch the improvement and dedication he’s taken towards becoming close enough to the interview guest that they feel comfortable sharing deeper insights. Cal Fussman is one of my favorite episodes (ep 1) and I believe that’s who inspired that particular skill. The breadth of guest quality and timeless wisdom to be gained is refreshing in a time when most guests do their podcast circuit, promote their book, and spout out their story and light gloss of insight or opinion about topics du jour. Love you Tim. Keep it up. Also, props to Jon for my favorite response to the billboard question and soulful gems dropped. Beautiful interview.
