Hey bud, maybe you’ve seen these before, but yak power makes an led kit for kayaks that has a plug you can run through the hull and the led strips plug into that. The plug acts as a through hull seal which you can silicone. The strips have the plug on them, this way if they go bad, you can just replace the strip, and it will plug right in. Long winded description but they look like something you could use for your nav lights...?? Tight lines!

Did you run all of that to your starting battery for the boat motor or is that all to the other battery and then also where are you hooking up the fishfinder so it doesn’t get interference which battery

When you were cutting the red led lights to fit ,did you have to solder more connections on to use them on the other parts of the boat ? Or did you just buy another set and cut them to fit as well...sorry for all the questions I just finished the framing for my 14x36 as I'm using your vid as a blueprint for mine and I'm starting the wiring phase, thx in advance!!!

@lilhugh01 if I remember I used two light strips for the deck so I didn't solder anything. But if I had to I would solder on new wires if I needed to.

You can run 3 into one switch. Using a bussbar may make it easier for you but not mandatory to use.

nice.. red is nice at night so your eyes dont get strain too much on bright white lights.. i like to use a warm yellowish light at night when on the boat so it dont like blind me....

Exactly man. The red is better on your eyes at night. I used white on my boat to be able to take nice night pics. I'll definitely be dimming them while fishing lol. But these red ones turned out awesome.

Check out yak power, you may have already... they have led light strips with plugs and through hull gasket plugs. Wire it up, plug and play. If the strips go bad you can just switch out with new strips and just plug em in.

I couldn't because of the double thickness of the aluminum that holds the gunnel rail onto the boat. Good thinking though. 👍🏾
