I know this is old but just in case you run into it again, I learned the hard way that power tools and stainless hardware don't play nice together unless you use anti-seize. The stainless bolt heats up quickly and does its best to become one with the nut. I keep a tube of anti-seize with my stainless hardware so I don't have to go through that again.

You are very right about this, I didn't understand why I was seizing SS bolts in the past then I realized it was using power tools. Now I either do them much slower or as you said some anti seize.

Thanks man. I have an old deep v that I am going to convert. I still haven't decided if I want to convert mine into a console or keep it a tiller. Videos like yours are helping me sort it all out.

Top bolts on the bracket : go between the bracket and the wall with a stand off on each bolt. You can make them from a price of pvc pipe or even a 1/4 in stainless steel pipe nipple cut to fit.

Does the console kit come with the throttle and steering wheel?
@mvboutdoors10 ай бұрын
No, it's only the console and mounting hardware. You need to get the steering system separately

Could I hook up that console to a 10hp motor?
@mvboutdoors Жыл бұрын
That depends on your outboard, the console is universal and would work with any outboard setup for controls.

Nice job buddy, question? Why didn’t you hide the control cables behind the side wall? Just wondering? Thanx

The way it all came together it wasn't really feasible but I came up with some great ways to clean it all up. Excited to show how it looks currently very soon.

@@mvboutdoors right on man! I’m actually gonna start in on my boat, I have a 14ft all welded a Gregor hull that I’m gonna customize. Have you seen any boat mode by tiny boat nation? Also….. I don’t know where to drill into the sides for side walls and flooring for the bottom. I don’t want to make unnecessary holes that will cause leaks. This is a grip of work and make me just want to sell my current boat and just buy a used 2013 Bass tracker with 50hp for $8500 and do the mods on that

@@drkronkron3061 Yeah for sure TBN, makes some killer boats. I'd kill to have the materials and products they use at my disposal haha. Any anchor points would want to be in braces, not through the hull. The only time thru-hull attachments work is near the gunnel and above the waterline. I've thought about doing a video on this but yeah you really need to consider the amount of work that goes into a boat restoration. I've been personally working on this one for months now. It's not an easy process, lol. Sometimes getting a solid platform and refreshing is a better way to go about it.
