Seen a writing that Beck had a guitar brought over in a cardboard box, amp , cords and mics were in the studio. No pics. Every solo on that album was done on one guitar and all the rhythm parts. That's insane

You pay someone to play guitar on your album, you don't want what they delivered, and ask them to play something else.. You can do this whether it is Jeff Beck, Steve Vai, Joe Satriani. There are Plenty of Jeff Beck albums out there if you want the full Jeff Beck experience.. Bon Jovi did it in a lovely, beautiful way, as he is a nice guy. Jeff Beck didn't storm out, complain, bitch and moan. He probably loved working with Jon. Worked with him again many times. Yet some in the comments have a problem with it??

@@davidharding200 No disrespect to Beck, as he is a legend deserving of all the praise he receives. But Jon sold a lot more records. And I think Beck wanted to align himself with some of that mojo. Beck was playing on Jon's solo record, not the other way around. If it were reversed, Jon would have done anything Beck asked of him for sure. That is what being a professional is about.
@davidharding200 Жыл бұрын
@@aaronkristo858 fortunately the right decisions were made at the mixing desk. I have this soundtrack and listened to it again since Jeff Beck’s passing. I’ve always loved it. Jon’s song wrongness and vocals, Jeff Beck on guitar and Kenny Aranoff on drums… it was .. and still is explosive. There are some really exceptional songs here that stand the test of time.

Jon Bon, a talentless hack telling Beck how to play the part is like telling Picasso how to paint.
@aaronkristo858 Жыл бұрын
He was giving him direction as all the pieces of the song were not there yet for Beck to consider. Beck, being the professional that he was, took it in stride and laid down some dynamite tracks on that album. Picasso was a shitty painter, by the way.
