For everyone saying "gruden was dead wrong, look at rg3" actually rg3 looked great until he got injured. That injury effected his game, rg3 is a mobile qb who had an injury that effects his mobility? Without that injury rg3 would be an above average if not very good nfl qb!
@Wrathofkala
@Wrathofkala 9 жыл бұрын
RG3 is a freakin bum........he's not even BUILT RIGHT for the position. Those legs are chicken legs in the NFL. You need a base underneath you -- See Donovan McNabb and Steve McNair. This guys had a good solid base. The power and accuracy come from your legs man.
@vdizzle15

Bro, RG3 got exposed this year. He cannot read defenses and as a result he isn't able to win games from the pocket. He holds onto the ball too long because he doesn't know how to go through his progressions, he makes the wrong dropbacks and his accuracy is terrible. I also agree with Rican GuitarGod that he isn't built to be a mobile QB and he's too stubborn to want to change or adapt so that he can get better. The only reason he had success his first year was because Kyle shanahan had an easy system that didn't involve rg3 having to really go through any reads. Jay Gruden, the coach for the Redskins has repeatedly said that RG3 is still raw and has a lot of work to do. RG3 has no excuses this year.

+Josh Schmidt I'm going to preface this by saying I have nothing against Bradford and I hope he does well. But he is, by far, the most over rated player in the history of the NFL. He's like a 6 or 7 year veteran who has done NOTHING for any team he has ever played on... with the exception of collect about $100million in lifetime salary earnings. He's never had a great season. Never had a winning season or made the playoffs. I've personally never seen a guy get chance after chance and keep failing.
@Josh-go5lu
@Josh-go5lu 8 жыл бұрын
Anthony Whitehead i understand that, but at the same time you have to give a quarterback something to work with. This Philly team he's on right now is stacked with talent. The OL looks really good with the additions of Brooks and Seumalo. Ryan Mathews will get the reps now (it was unbelievable how much better than Murray Ryan was). The wrs will be better with more time under their belts. Also this defense should be murderous under Jim Schwartz. If he fails this year, he's just trash

That's why enjoy the Peytons and Bradys while their still playing and relevant... like every sport it evolves via the evolution of the athlete skill sets.

When people talked about Sam Bradford before the draft, I heard people compare him to Peyton Manning except more mobile. His accuracy is phenomenal and he can make in NFL pass. You look at his OU highlights and you see he had all day to throw. He had a good line that allowed him to make passes without being hurried. The rams have failed to protect him. All Sam needs is time in the pocket and he will pick a defense apart. Give him some WRs and its over

Crazy! I posted this nearly 10 years ago! : I received an email from Jon Gruden today. Some really vulgar and inappropriate stuff. Doesn’t matter. Nobody will ever know what he said. I have proof. Maybe I’ll wait 9 or 10 years and leak it. But in all honesty, my prediction is that he goes back to the Raiders as a partial owner and head coach on a huge deal. And the teams moves to lets say Las Vegas. New stadium, former team and reunited with the Davis family and things are all good. Man, he’d be fired if anybody read his emails, though. lol

While at STL, Sam has gone through 3 different offensive coordinators, head coaching changes, terrible offensive linemen, lack of talented wide receivers, and injuries. He's been in the league for how many years and there has been no consistency to help him out. But look at STL now. Picked up Green Bay's center, got some young WR's + and a (healthy) D. Amendola. Fisher's system seems to be working wonders in 1 year. Sam's not a stud (yet), but he's helped lead STL to a 7-7-1 record. Not bad.

Drafting and evaluating talent are 2 different things. Anyone can breakdown tape, but it is a luck of the draw when your picking a player. Every player taken in the first round has the ability to be a franchise player, but they may not pan out for a variety of reasons. Jaws also said that Joey Harrington was a legit player too.

Prove Gruden wrong? He didn't say anything negative about Sam, he just said that he would like to see what else is out there. You see what kind of quarterbacks came out of that year? It was as if it was 1984 like.Andrew Luck, RG3, Russell Wilson, Ryan Tannehill, Kirk Cousins. Nothing wrong with taking a flyer on a third rounder to see if he can push the starter for some player time.

Not taking anything away from RG3 bc he is unreal but it was a win for the Rams in that trade. They got the skins first round picks for the next two years and they really don't need a QB. Bradford is still a hell of a QB and since the skins aren't winning games then the rams can use that high pick to give Bradford some help.

Explain to me why Steven Jackson will not be a hall of fame RB. Yeah the stats are there, but put him on most other teams and his numbers would be ridiculous. He is a freak of nature, that's why he puts up the numbers he does devoid any consistent passing attack and a mediocre O-line. Also, Sam Bradford has to rely on the receivers to catch the passes he has the time to make, Steven has the luxury of depending on blocks only.

The thing your not looking at is adjustments. Rodgers came out of CAL and was hurt by how bad Akli Smith was in NFL. CAL was supposed to short pass offense and QBs from there were not NFL qbs. Wrong. Dalton came from a defensive school, but he must have the ability to make adjustments in NFL and be NFL qb. Gabbert came from a spread offense and isn't making adjustments to be a NFL qb. Jaws ranked him 29th on qbs in the league.

Sam bradford was playing like a top 5 quaterback before he got hurt, and im not saying he is a top 5 quarterback cause hes not hes a decent quarterback that if you put a team around you can win. the problem right now is hes coming off and acl tear and the seahawks, 49ers, and Cardinals are arguably the top 3 defenses in the league and they happened to be in there division. So personally i say the rams should try and build there other holes first then maybe draft a quarterback in the third or 4th round and not give up on bradford right away.

Babatunde24 2012 Sam Bradford went 4-1-1 in the division. He can win in this division he just needs help from the defense. Look at this year while Sam was healthy. We had a shootout every week cause our defense struggled. He went down and the defense got tough.

The point i was making was that bradford is just as good as RG3 and that its not a terrible thing with us sticking with him. I am very happy we traded with the redskins so we can build around sam. It just so happened that bradford and the rams outplayed and beat griffin and the redskins in week 2

Yet, Bill Parcels drafted an expected undrafted Tony Romo in the 6th round and he's now the starting QB in Dallas for seven or eight years? Was he lucky?

I have watched every game the Rams have played in 2013 twice. I will watch the blow against 49ers this weekend. Bradford doesn't have a running game or good WR. However, this is his 4th year and you can't use that same old argument anymore. I feel he needs the perfect team around him to be sucessful, but that doesn't happen too much in the NFL. He may need a new team to be successful bc STL ain't going to give it to him.

Rg3 should have started his career off with knee braces on before he even got any injuries because he was a running quarterback with skinny legs, it was otherwise going to be inevitable. I'd rather have an RG3 at 90% Speed and Agility because his knee braces are holding him back then one who only gets to play for one season before he gets broken.

Watch out for Sam Bradford in 2013. I truly think that will be his breakout year, he's shown great improvement over tha past three seasons and he still has plenty left to show. Just wait til tha Rams get a better o-line and a Pro-Bowl caliber reciever, I can't wait to see Bradford prove Gruden wrong.

Caleb Kinsley how was RG3 not good? When he first came in the league he had one of the best seasons that's the same thing could happen to DeShaun Watson next year who everybody seems to think is going to be the next big thing for sure. RG3 was on the cover of Subway for like a really long time that's how good he was in his first year the thing is that Argie never got the right coaching after his injury because when a guy that's that mobile gets injured and becomes way less mobile with a huge brace on his leg he's not going to be the same quarterback. In my opinion they should have kept RG3 on injured reserve the whole next year not played him one time let him fully get back to his best physical shape or he's not worried about injury and then let him come out all the while I would have him with like a Peyton Manning type of quarterback coach working on his pass accuracy while we're getting him back into shape for the NFL. I think RG3 was very much like DeShaun Watson or event Cam Newton the only reason that he's not playing anymore was because he got hurt and after the injury had a few bad Seasons now nobody wants to really give him the time of day that he needs to show he still an elite QB but at this point he's old and washed-up he never got his chance we'll see what happens with DeShaun Watson though

Vex RG3 is a system QB like Foles and Kapernick. RG3 was never an under center QB at all. He's a run first QB in a spread option. You cant run that offense for him because he always got hurt.
