Great interview with a great man and drummer.

I am a guitarist and fusion nut, but understand how important drummers are, especially in complex music of this nature. Whilst I loved all the fusion cats like Cobham, I have to say that Jon, whilst celebrated, still doesn't get the credit he deserved. Without doubt he is one of the greatest drum soloists I have ever saw, so creative and varied. RIP maestro.

My favorite drummer....in my favorite band Colosseum!!....and his drummers are my favorite jazz drummers....Elvin Jones in my favorite jazz band, Coltrane´s Quartet....and Billy Cobham in Mahavishnu Orchestra!!! Well maybe M.O. is rather fusion than pure jazz of course!!....great interview!!....thanks!!!....:-)))....

John died this morning, 12 june 2018.....they send all as his neighbours email.....I just saw him outside recently....dont know why he died yet but i remember ambulance month ago or so but i thought its for Barbara ((((

A joy to watch - thanks for this video! JH has always been my favourite european drummer, especially the wonderful open tone of his round-badge Gretsch drums stood out of the crowd in the seventies. You do not hear drum sounds like that any more. I remember Colosseum's german Beat Club TV appearance - brilliant! curiously waiting for parts III and IV and...
