Love this. I never had much insight into Ronson before this. I’ve always felt that he appreciates the absurdity of humanity more than anyone since Shakespeare. I still do. But to see the link to his youth is wonderful.

Been watching and reading a lot of Ronson's stuff, recently. Genuinely empathise with a lot of his views - I love the attention to nuance in his work, as a fellow lefty who is still open to different points of view and is non-judgmental towards people I disagree with

"Ronson's first book, Clubbed Class (1994), is a travelogue in which he bluffs his way into a jet set lifestyle, in search of the world's finest holiday" A very good definition of a psychopath. A BBC documentary told the story of the life of a young Glaswegian psychopath who did exactly that.
