Re: Dragon Quest XI. This game is too pure for this world. It's the first Dragon Quest game I ever finished. I expected it to be good, but not this good.

I’ve been a long time subscriber to Nintendo Life and they’re becoming one of my favorite channels. Alex always makes me laugh and Zion has really blossomed as a creator. GameXplain isn’t the same. After everyone split I quickly realized that Jon was why I found their videos entertaining and why I had a smile on my face after every video. Keep up the good work!

What's funny is that I remember when he started not liking Jon's voice and previously monotone delivery. KZbin comments even criticized it. Boy, things sure change!! Zion got a bad wrap to start being compared to Alex, but he deserves the spot too 😃

I'm very near the end of Dragon Quest XI S and I am head over heels in love with it. It's my first ever turn based RPG that isn't Pokemon. I never found JRPGs interesting until now. It may be in my personal hall of fame of games I've ever played. I care about these characters more than I've ever cared before.

I can recommend you the Final Fantasy games after that. 7, 9 or especially 10 could be a good start.

I got all stars for christmas and mario 64 brought me nostalgia. I never played sunshine and galaxy but when I started sunshine it's so annoying to play, with something going wrong or the inability to follow instructions on my end. Havent played galaxy yet but I'm looking forward to it

When you play 3D All Stars you feel how old the games on there are and then you play Odyssey and it feels so new and better in comparison. As much as I love all the games in the collection I have to admit that yeah they are really old and different from Odyssey in ways that make them feel generally worse.

This was such a lovely video with such positive vibes. I love Smash Bros. ability to blend genres and characters with an obscene level of detail and care. I'm not good at it, but it's fun to just experience the characters and level design.

@Meme Man For Smash! DQ11 is fantastic, but BotW is in a completely different universe. BotW is THE standard for modern game design, and STILL feels like the best game from 5 years in the future.

I got to the Dora part (mesmorizor, surreal world inside the painting) on the PC version of DQ11, but got sidetracked a few months ago and never picked it up again. Just now bought the Switch version yesterday, starting from scratch. Anyone know what percentage of the game is left after Dora? Just curious how much of the game I’ve yet to experience.

Tetris Battle (or was it Blitz?) was my jam on....Facebook....back in the day...though to be fair, they had it online elsewhere too and I played both quite a bit. It was a lot like Tetris 99, but dare I say I liked it better. I liked the powerup features and I liked how you could play against 1-4 people and each mode had it's separate ranking and tier. It was such a blast increasing your rank and I think there was even a 2v2 mode? That era might have been the genesis of the crappy mobile game formula, but it had some amazing gems that I wish would get a proper rerelease. or maybe just one gem.

21:16 This scene strongly reminded me of Asterix and the Normans of all things. There is a god-appreciation scene with the Normans and they yell: "Bei Odin!" "Bei Thor!" "Bei...spielhaft?" ("Beispielhaft" means as much as "exemplary". Don't ask me about the play on words in the english version or the french original as I don't know.) As Maulaf and his raiding crew are warriors so the only two gods they care about are Odin and Thor. Even in the quest to find fear.

I want a switch port of Tales of Symphonia. A 4 player rpg with each person controlling a seperate character. The combat was real time with button commands for attacks and movement controls. One of the best rpg's ever made. It was the second game i introduced to my girlfriend (she's chinese and had never played a video game before. Her first was smash with me)

There’s three lots of DLC for Smash, but I personally don’t think there’s only three character’s left. Mainly because that Menu will not look tidy and I can’t imagine Sakurai letting his menu look non symmetrical 😂 so I’d imagine Waluigi will turn up as a comedy add on with the last pack and so on to make the list/menu look complete at the end.

When I see top lists like this one I always think about the time when people thought the "Nintendo NX" was going to fail. *laughs in knowledge about switch sales Now look at these 5 games. Celeste is currently fighting my nostalgic boostet Pokémon Platinum for my favorite game in general. Chapter 9 alone was an incredible outstanding experience and it's a free update too. It's the hardest game anyone can beat. There is also the whole speedrun aspect. Perfection is too much to ask for but this game is converging to it. Tetris99 is straight up the best battle royale game in my opinion. It was also my first real touch with the beauty of Tetris. Back then I couldn't even imagine how to T-Spin and now the DT canons are blasting far and wide T-Spins. Dragon QuestXI...exists(sorry, haven't played it yet^^'). SMO is my favorite 3D Mario and also top 10 games in general material. So glad to see people who don't just talk it down because it's different. I can't even imagine how great it must be to grow with this as your first Mario game. Just saying: Odyssey2>Galaxy3 SSBU is the ultimate celebration of games in form of a game. You could make it a Challenge to create the most absurd matchup description that is possible in Ultimate and you would get sentences that fill pages. I guess that's one way how videogames can say more than thousand words. Fantastic taste, Jon, fantastic taste^-^
