@@abezierkje6938 Yes, I do agree with your opinion on the comparison between Jonathan and Pavarotti, who has what I consider to be THE greatest opera tenor voice of all times. But I feel that Jonathan is still young and growing as an artist too, and hopefully he will have a long and prosperous future and improve even more with age. I only wish that he could/would lose some weight while he is still young - for his personal health reasons only! Talent, imo, has nothing to do with a person’s age, appearance, race, religion, sexual preference (i.e. Elton John) - but ONLY that they have the ability to perform with the love, passion, and emotion that they themselves have in order to reach those who hear them!

@ illiniwood With that in mind can you even imagine what it must have been like to be confronted with the fact of your own greatness yet, feel the unimaginable wgt of nothingness upon your shoulders. To contemplate the emergence of such rich talent (beyond measure, really)! So few of us ever have such noble dreams...but what if they COULD come true. Then the harsh reality of the kind of sacrifice involved in the pursuit of such a high calling...not having a life where one can just pick up and pretend to melt into a crowd undiscovered. Does anyone even realize the heaviness of the harness he is wearing? Where one craves a day where the splendid tedium of sitting for an interview, being fitted for gentleman's attire for one's personal wardrobe, meeting a sponsor for a luncheon, attending an evening affair not because you want to or because you have an affinity for a particular chef but, because it has been scheduled FOR you! Plans are made to support your favorite charity and you must show up! Does anyone realize what this level of success entails? Some of us think of these things Mr. Antoine and we understand your level of sacrifice and want you to know how much we ALL appreciate and value your level of sacrifice! YOU sir, are an inspiration...you wear your humility with grace! I saw you once preen your feathers thru the pause in your song and I thought I noted an exquisite sense of wonderment and joy at who you have become...and yes! It's OK to enjoy yourself! Life is short...so short! Fall in love with a good life, we'll lived and live it!! May you experience ALL the best young man! You give such tremendous joy to others...God bless you richly!

Obviously he has an amazing voice.... and there is something more here that makes this so amazing... I feel that his humility allows him to transcend singers who are "performing" an aria... he BECOMES the aria. All things considered, a truly GREAT and outstanding performance and interpretation of Nessun Dorma! What I really like about Jonathan Antoine's interpretation is that he never loses touch with his tenderness of vocal expression and maintains a good measure of vocal serenity and control throughout the performance. In other words, his rendition is not at all bombastic, and he doesn't attempt to just blast his way through the whole thing - he maintains a true sensitivity of vocal expression throughout.

And they said that this could never be topped after Pavarotti sang it. Fools, it has been topped and perfected right before our very eyes. Emotion, power, presence, all things things this song demands. Beautifully, beautifully done. I am in awe.

I really liked what i just heard. But this my friend is nonsense. How can you top absolute perfection? Do you even see how effortless Pavarotti did this? How perfect his air management is? When Luciano sings, every note brings tears to my eyes. Every single one of them!

@@quecksilber457 I agree, Jonathan does a fine job but Pavarotti is definitive.

@@GuppyCzar Corelli is the definitive
@quecksilber4573 жыл бұрын
@@katef6154 Not even close. But this is purely subjective. Corelli does not make me cry. It is Lucianos timbre. It always struck my soul like a knife. No other tenor does this to me. And i believe on the technical side Luciano is better too. A lot of Experts say this.

he has potential, but pavarotti? come on.... don`t put so much pressure on such a young guy, by comparing him to one of the gods of his profession. he still has a lot to learn. and don`t be mistaken, i liked jonathans voice since his first audition. but be realistic. even pavarotti wasn`t the tenor god, right from the start. give him the time he needs, to develop his skills.

Ok, I went back again and listened to all the famous tenors singing this. They’re all great but have a certain hard edge that you don’t have. You may hear their training, but we hear something different in you. A quality that’s hard to describe. So what if it’s a little raw, THEY CANT TOUCH YOUR PASSION.
