As a native born Mountaineer, Country Roads has been a favorite since it was introduced. This is, by far, the best version. I invite Jonathan Antoine to explore the Mountain State for himself. He will soon discover the majesty of a mountain home, applies to "home", wherever that may be. That, of course, is the reason an anthem about a small, oft overlooked state is so universally accepted. It's all about home. Jonathan is an accomplished artist. I'm sure he would enjoy seeing West Virginia first hand.

I don’t think it matters where the song refers to as home. “to the place I belong” triggers something in us all. Whether it’s a time, a memory, a thought, a road, or just pulling into your driveway at the end of a long day. It’s nostalgia. It’s a photograph. A smell. It’s a familiar chapter that we take comfort in as we go forth on our great adventure. It’s a moment you’ve created that’s so perfect that you long for it every time you hear this song. Have you heard him sing Caruso, Empty Chairs at Empty Tables, Parla Piu Piano and more from these same sold out concerts last year in Toronto? Also his Nessun Dorma and Dein Ist Mein Ganzes Herz , (which he does sing in German) are stunning.

I can't say that I've ever been a country music fan (although there's been some exceptions). This song however was beautifully done, you truly feel the emotion behind it. You sang it exceptionally, I got a lump in my throat. Keep doing what you do Jonathan, as long as you can, we need it.

Jonathan voice has, since I discovered him on BGT, made me cry. I won't be able to drive with this CD in the player. Now if you will excuse me I must go to the bathroom to fix my face.
