I dislike Damian, but I care a lot about Jon, so I wasn’t gonna let my distaste for Damian get in the way of me enjoying SuperSons. Good thing I didn’t have to worry about this though. J. Tomasi actually made Damian tolerable, likable even, mostly because of the dynamics between him and Jon. This series was such a blast, and is one of my favorites from the Rebirth Line.

Actually Alfred does have a kid, Julia. Am i the only one that still remembers her? They bring her back only when they have use of her... She was in Batman's book during new 52. In rebirth they pretended that she didnt exist but someone forgot to tell Batwoman's writer cause she kept her through the entire book.. I personally, like her.

I feel like Tomasi is the only writer at DC that reads Gleason's work on Damian. Especially since Robin in teen Titans is nothing like Robin in supersons or the superman comic (I would say in Batman, but Damian has yet to appear in more than a cameo in Kings batman :|)

I love how at first Damian was against Jon joining the Teen Titans bc he's 12 and also Damian's ego, but that by the end Damian is crushed that none of the other Teen Titans vote Jon onto the team

One of the biggest DC mistakes in the last five years (and that's saying something) is dropping this title and the insane potential that "fun romp with one nice kid and one jerk kid" has as a niche title in a massive superhero universe.

I bought a copy of this for my friend's kids (elementary and middle school aged) and they loved it and I bought it for my 14 year old sister and she loved it too. Super Sons is one of those magical books that can be enjoyed by anyone no matter their age.

Super Sons was easily my favorite Rebirth series. The art was perfect (Barberi kills it in place of Jiminez later on) and the story actually made me like Damien, which is crazy

This series was my most anticipated Rebirth title, I was really frustrated when they delayed its release. The art is simply amazing and Tomasi's portrayal of Jon really made him my favorite new character. This was fun and the interactions between Jon and Damian were adorable and funny.

Johnny Boy I was willing to give him a chance (despite how bad he’s been for the last couple of years), and I thought he might offer something fresh and new to the Superman mythos (similar to what he did with Spider-Man in the Ultimate comics), but you know Bendis; he can’t work with continuity. When I heard he got rid of Jon and Lois, that’s where I lost all hope. I know they’ll eventually get back together again as a family, but C’MON.

I miss the super sons so much and it's all cause a certain someone made John age suddenly (when he had so much going for him growing up of which I say makes you miss the fun of seeing a child super hero grow up but then they just make dimension and time travel on him and he's off to future college the legion of superheroes...............) and now Damian is suddenly going back to being a prick when it was cool to see him act like a kid for a bit and having fun but idk maybe it can be fixed if we have time travel to get kid John back maybe.........

honestly i really fucking hated damian before i read super sons; like seriously the brat shows up and the first thing he does is punch poor tim in the face. super sons added so much character; what once was an arrogant brat is now an arrogant brat that has friends and feelings. it makes a world of difference. i love him now. he's my smol mean child.

I don't think Super Sons was cancelled, I think it was always meant to be a limited series and they just added on Adventures of the Super Sons because it was popular. And I get that you don't like Damian, that's cool, but I really gotta disagree with the end of the video. Damian loves Alfred. He even names his cat after him. You're not supposed to take Damian's words at face value. He'll say that Superboy sucks, but in reality really wants him to be his friend. He'll sass his father, while secretly searching for Martha Wayne's pearls in the sewers for months. He'll call Dick worthless, but also would die for him. He'll be dismissive of Alfred, and then name his cat after him. He's a tsundere, basically.

I think the problem with Damian is that he’s not allowed to progress as a character. Writers don’t really know what to do with a Damian who’s made peace with himself, so he just keeps getting reverted to “asshole assassin Robin”. Robin Son of Batman is the best portrayal of him, in my opinion. Like he’s still got some asshole tendencies but he’s actively trying to be a better person.
