I dont care how many games Quick loses or how many bad goals he gives up. Until someone else gives the Kings what he did or achieves what he did, he will always be my favorite player

There is one way to describe Jonathan Quick throughout that playoff year. A+

Arguably the greatest postseason performance by a player in recent memory. He was a brick wall and that’s putting it lightly.

I've never seen a goalie make goaltending look easy at such a high level. He moved so fluid whether on his skates or butterfly along the ice. Almost like an octopus 🐙. Glad he has his cups.👍🏻

No one will be a better goalie than Quick til' they match his playoff numbers. He's possibly one of the best in the world, if not THE best. I have high respects for Marty, Henrik, Tukka, Carey (Price), and many other goaltenders. But I've never seen any of them put on a performance like Quick did, so early in their career. (Or even later, for the veterans.)

Another moment I love is the exchange between him and Marty Brodeur. Two class act legends.

@@mastersloan True, but imo Thomas made way bigger saves on better scoring opportunities. I've never seen a goalie put on a show like Thomas did in 2011. Dude stood on his head.

@@mastersloan Both were great regardless, Quick was better on paper I'm sure and like you said he set records. I'd personally take Thomas' performance but that's just me. Two American born goalies, so I'm proud of both.

I'm very much a Quick fan too, and no doubt he was the only true Conn Smythe candidate at the end of the day, however, if we hadn't had Quick but still had Bernier, I think we'd have turned out just fine as well. Provided Bernier could hold on in the regular season, which he's proven he could do, we'd have been fine with Bernier in the playoffs when everything started to click.

Come on, the Kings have had great goalies before Quick. i.e Sawchuck, Vachon, Hrudley and all your woulda, coulda, never will replace what Quick did. Scoreboard. A Quick in the net is worth two Bernier's on the bench. lol. GKG.
