When My Aim is True first came out I had stopped by a friend's house and he said "You Have To Hear This!".....we listened to the whole thing and I was an instant E.C. fan.....I was stunned......im still a huge fan and own over 30 of his albums.....

My Aim Is True, as well as This Year's Model, are so fucking good. Basically perfect albums because you don't want to skip a single song. As an IMMENSE Pink Floyd fan, those albums are up there with The Dark Side of the Moon, Wish You Were Here, etc. Those EC records are that good.

I just walked in the open stage door at an Elvis Costello concert once. After I had been standing there for 20 mins a security guard bopped over and asked "are you supposed to be here?" I said no but im just enjoying the concert. He just said ok but don't cause any problems. I watched the whole concert.

What a voice, I saw him at the South Bank in London in a show a few days after Johnny Cash died. For the encore he came on without the band, acoustic guitar, no amplification or mic and sang 'I still miss someone' under a single spotlight, his powerful voice carrying around the theatre...THE live show moment of my life, not a dry eye in the house.

I love Mr Elvis Costello he's so cool. I once saw him live with my father and aunt. I'm blessed to be named after his song, and when he started playing Alison I started to cry and get emotional. It was such an amazing feeling to hear this cool man playing a favorite song of my parents I was name after.

I think his changes in musical style might have something to do with it. I bought Armed forces and had singled off his other album before that but then he brought out - Get Happy, and I played it once then didn't bother again I didn't like it because it wasn't the same as the others. To appeal to other people must be hard when you change like that.

@peterearle65195 жыл бұрын
Such a pity that Jonathan Ross gets to interview interesting and talented guests but demeans the whole process with his infantile questions. How has he kept this unwatchable show going for so long? By contrast, Elvis has pure talent, is intelligent and empathetic. ITV could do worse than replace the inept Ross with Elvis...check out his 'Spotlight' shows for Canadian TV for a real treat.
