Great request and can't believe you had this! What a goldmine. Not many or any British talk show host interviews from this era in America.

Articulate, intelligent, quick-witted, and...with interesting things to say. And that's just the host and his guest. And Ross was quite captivating when younger. His wit is still razor-sharp, but he oozes charm here as well. of course this was almost 30 years ago. Older than most wine I've drunk. TFP.

I imagine the appearance of Letterman on the Des O'Connor show is something of a holy grail for you. Did Letterman appear on Jonathan Ross's show ever? PS, Yes, I took a sabbatical, but I'm back! And still loving these!

I'm near certain he didn't.

Don: do you have Late Night episode when they spoofed the The Day After with a panel discussion of the previous night’s episode of Alice, including Kareem Abdul-Jabbar? I think the date was 11/21/1983. Thanks!

Yep -- you got the date right, and yep, I do have it.

Would love to see it, can you post that segment here maybe? Thanks Don, you are the best.
