Yamaha guitars are seriously underrated! I dunno if it because Yamaha manufacture so much different stuff, it's their marketing, or it's because people in general immediately just associate the name with outboards, bikes or classic synths like the DX7? I just remember that back in the day, the Pacifica was the first affordable guitar range that was actually really good!

They are well regarded for their acoustic pianos. I have been playing a Yamaha dreadnaught for decades. I recently thought I wanted a Taylor grand auditorium. I went in to the store and A/B the Taylor with a Yamaha of the same style. I was in there for over an hour, back and forth. The Yamaha won.

I think a lot of people who are saying "Why would I pay that much for a Pacifica?" forget that the Pacifica was initially a super high end line of guitars back when they came out. "High End"? we sold them for $599 in '91 at Bizzarre Guitar in Phoenix. They were considered a cheap alternative to a Strat... nothing special. They're still nothing special and y'all are delusional thinking these things are worth anywhere near the $1,100 and $1,900 they're extorting for these things.
