You remind me a lot of Bob Ross! Take that for what you will, but it’s the highest complement I can give to a painting channel. Thanks for the awesome weathering tutorial! Lots of helpful insights and good demonstrations!

Watching you add that texture paint was a roller coaster. I went from yelling that's too much! To wow that's a really nice effect. In just a matter of moment, lol.

I didn't trust the process.

😊 It is one of those things that when you see the start, you shake your head and go "no way". It's like oil dot filters. The first time I saw it being demonstrated, I thought "You just ruined a perfectly good model." By the end, I was quite surprised how subtle it ended up. Oddly, if I try to thin it first, and then add it slowly, the result is not the same. This is one of the few times that the subtractive process works quite well with acrylics.

Defo needs the brave test to be passed before you attempt it, lol.

I'm glad you liked it! I've decided to shift away from trying to please KZbin's recommended video length and just do what I think is needed. :) Thanks for your kind comment. (A few have been less than kind... 🤷♂️)

Excellent modelling Jon. These techniques are a lot of help to me, and I will be able to use them on the track vehicles in my stash. I will be sure to watch this series as I build them. Thank you for all your help. Have an excellent day.

I do a similar thing when applying mud. I stipple on the textured paint (also GW), but I mix in a bit of static grass in the textured paint for extra texture and realism. I finish the effect with some drybrushes and washes to tie it all together, but still give it some definition.

Hey! Did you assemble the tracks on the tank after painting the hull? If yes, did you not glue the armor plate on the sides or did you force them in afterwards?
