Nice tutorial from build to paint. I've never tried starting the tracks off with a dirty dusty color before a rush wash. Usually my base color is Vallejo's "German Camo Black Brown" but I like the variation you've shown, I'll have to mix it up on my next build with a lighter, dusty starting point just to experiment with the process. Thanks for sharing!

A nice technique Jon. I especially liked how you did the initial base-coating with that large drybrushing brush and stippling- I wasn't expecting that, it really worked over that dark primer.

Thanks! I've really started liking that way to paint large areas. Thin the paints down quite a bit and go to town. I tallows for a variety of coats to be built up, all the way to opaque. Ref the trackpads.Perhaps use a scalpel blade to make nicks and damage on them.
