katie X I’m in AZ too, I feel you. All of our fish are subjected to constantly seeing splashes of lures and they just get wary of anything plunking near them. Plus once it hits over 105 degrees they just go as deep as possible

I had to completely re-learn how to fish when moving to Arizona. its all about finesse;which even then doesn't work half the time cuz there will be 20 guys fishing one tiny pon,. throwing the biggest damn swim bait they cant find 😂

I use 12 on my Texas rig and lighter jigs on a medium rod. Then 14 on my heavy rod for heavy cover. Do a lot of pond fishing
